I have been RTFF'ing on this Cali thread, and one point that has struck me is what would appear to be the pervasiveness of CBJ. "Cali is small" Actually it is a sizable city. Try taking a cab across town. One of the other students in my Spanish class, took an Uber from the south side of town to class every morning. It took her 45 minutes to a hour to get there. As if size really matters. Pattaya isn't that big, but nobody complains about that.
"The scene is small" Its actually at least as big as Medellin, probably bigger. The Cali map and list provided by World Travel 69 shows a lot of locations for punting, yet I sense there is a lot more there that is not on record. I actually saw some. The question is, how many pussies do you need to choose from? Yes, Cali has lots of options, though they are spread out. Another distinctive thing about Cali, or at least the area north of the river, is the density of "sex shops" (see attached photos). I saw three on one block. Not that they would have the selection of quality accessories you would find in St. Pauli. Still, its impressive.
"Lots of silicon" I didn't see that. There were a few in Dr. Amor that had ridiculous fake boobs but the rest I saw were all natural looking, at least. Those asses are real.
"Cali is hot". Not really. It is bordering on hot, but mostly it is humid, which makes it uncomfortable sometimes. Had it been a dry climate, it would have been comfortable most of the time. I'm from Texas and BTW it was hotter at home when I left than it was in Cali. But, if you are from a cooler climate you might have a problem, just because you are not used to experiencing "calor". If you reside on or near the Gulf Coast of the US, you will have no problem.
All in all, my perception of Cali is that it is a fun city with a friendly populace. The WGs are not the prettiest in Colombia, based on my limited time in Colombia. But, they are pretty enough and overall superior when it comes to service. They are indeed darker and you can see the African roots in some of them, in addition to their being a significant number of black people there (not too visible in Medellin and Bogota). The bigger asses on some of the darker girls are natural. My teacher from Bogota, make a comment on how big the girls were in Cali, though they all looked petite compared to the "heifers" we got up here at home. As soon as I landed at IAH, the first thing that hit me was how big the women are back home (not to mention their toxic attitudes). I haven't gotten a hard on since I got home and its been two weeks!
If I return to Colombia to visit soon, I will likely return to Cali. The place is cheap, the locals are nice and the WGs provide the best service I've experienced in Colombia. I'm also considering it as a destination for early retirement.

I RTFF'd the Cali threads in search of a chica-friendly hotel in Cali and identified the Cali Plaza Hotel as one of the most popular chica-friendly hotels for gringo mongers, with an American owner and a substantial client base of monger guests. I researched further, but the Trip Advisor reviews under the name of the Cali Plaza Hotel seem to have stopped in 2017. The Cali Plaza Hotel website is no longer available, and, when I tried to book on the various third-party booking websites, one of the redirected me to a listing for the Gran Hotel Cali. It turns out that the Gran Hotel Cali has the same address as the Cali Plaza Hotel (calle 15 # 6 and-37), and its reviews indicate that it has new owners.
So, can anyone confirm that the Cali Plaza Hotel has since been renamed as the Gran Hotel Cali under new ownership? More importantly, what if any substantial changes has it undergone? Is it still chica-friendly, and does it still have heavily monger-oriented client-base? Has anyone stayed there recently, and would you recommend it?
I checked Google Map and yes indeed its called Gran Hotel Cali. So maybe its under new ownership now. That's all I know. Haven't stayed there in 4 1/2 years. Stayed there many times in the past. I always liked the place.
Good location close to Ave. Sexta. Free breakfast. Spacious rooms. Google map sez the rooms go for $35 a night. I think its probably still chica friendly.

Can anyone confirm that the Hotel Ibis Cali Granada is chica-friendly? Every other Ibis at which I have stayed (Bogota, Rio de Janeiro, and Prague) has been chica-friendly, and I will be contacting them to clarify their policies, but I am curious if anyone has actually road-tested it. I did a search on the Cali threads and did not find any reference to anyone staying there and bringing a girl back.
Also, what do you think of the convenience of its location for mongering?

The room is clean and everything but it's too small and I think you can find better hotel for reasonable price in Cali.

Dr amor. Always someone worth rooming when I was here. Midweek noon maybe 6 girls, Friday afternoon nearly 20 I think. White band cost 150 k hour, 100 k 30 minutes, can't remember the other bands, it's basic service. Good rooms, well run operation in here.
Caras lindas. No girls there on a Sunday early afternoon, Friday afternoon about 10, some OK but quality below dr Amor.
Clubs:
Eventoz liz. Friday about 10 pm I think, 10 k entry with a beer, loads of guys but just two girls sat with guys, no dances on stage or in the crowd. I stay for the one beer, one average girl comes and does a stage dance for 15 minutes, some other girls sort of come out briefly from the back room then return. One girl on a table was very hot, others not so much, maybe I was too early?
Escoces. Saturday after 11 pm, 8 girls, one good rest poor for the prices. It's 22 k a rum no beers served, two other guys.
Deluxe. Circa midnight Saturday, 20 or so girls quality better than anywhere else, best girls busy on tables though so probably get here earlier. 15 k beer.
Calenas 2 - usually 8-10 girls, a few look good, 200 k per hour. Think beers 10 k.
Olympus. All girls naked in here, more black than any other club, could be 15-20 not sure. 5 k entry, 7 k beer. A few alright but generally low quality, bit more of an atmosphere than other places, lots of locals hanging out just watching the girls.
La piscina. Maybe 10 girls Saturday night, couple good, 9 k beer, outside pool area to sit. Two other guys.
JC - 3 girls none for me, 1 had huge natural tits though. Nobody else here.
