Crack Down on the Casas are rhe next phase...NO ceduela and the casa is toast. One bright spot, Hotels are leanjng to be more chica friendly if everthing goes as planned.

It is obvious the Policia don't want the chicas on the streets because the chicas have vanished. The chicas probably just pushed it too far. You could not eat at Villar Hnos without a corner full of SW parading about. The chicas had become so bold they were standing in the street selling their wares. I guess someone or the local buisness just got tired of it.

As much as I enjoyed the chica parade the new look is kind of nice. I would imagine the locals really like the change. For the most part I would think the SW were doing more harm than good for local buisnesses. My favorite colmado now has red wine and wine glasses on the plastic tables replacing Brugal and Presidente. Outside of Mystik and the food stand next door was void of chicas. Even the chicas working at the casas won't leave the front porch.

Gentlemen don't throw away your chica phone numbers. We just need to alter our game plan a bit but SD will still be on my travel list.

I probably won't make a visit to BC this trip but I wonder if some of the chicas relocated there?

From you photos I learned that there are three casas on Avenida Pasteur now between the Malecon and Avenida Independencia. Sky High is the old Sky House. Then there is Satin and Girls House.

I stayed numerous times in Zona Colonial in the past few years and walked El Conde in the day and night and saw practically zero pros. In Pacos (now called Grands) at the beginning of El Conde, there were always some pro chicas.

Around Park Independence near El Conde there were SWS at night.

You must have visited El Conde at a time when they had more Streetwalkers.

What is better. All inclusive with the escort (like drnights etc) or regular hotel all inclusive and I find / pay for an escort after I get there? What is the going rate for a lady for each 24hr?

I've seen pros on El Conde, but not like Independecia. 2 girls tried to hit me and a buddy up for $100 for each of them. I don't think so.

Do you know the Cigar shop near the Hard Rock, a friend of mine likes a type of cigar they sell there, every so often he wants a box.

I went in there one day right when they were closing and wound up with one of the sales clerks in the back, she was much prettier with clothes on. I thought I got over on my looks (jajaja) but afterwards she was asking for 4K. I complained, she put up a stink, my girlfriend was meeting me so I threw 2k at her and ducked out, I actually forgot to buy the damn cigars.

I really was trying to pic them out as good as my friends but was to worried about harassing the casual shopper. Seeing all the women lined up on Independecia brought pure joy to my heart. The changes that Dominica is making has already soured my enthusiasm for my up coming trip.

The last time I walked on El Conde was on a morning of July while waiting for my Riazor room to be ready. At 10:00 am there were a few chicas looking for customers in the square in front of Cathedral, near Conde de Penalba. A pair were cute. A pair of evident pros were with two guys on Pacos. Five or six girls whistled to me while walking up and down el Conde. Only one was cute. I continued walking and a girl stopped me in front of Pacos and told me if I wanted to "singar". She asked 1,200 but she was not my type.

Europeans that stay in Zona Colonial usually wake up early in search of chicas and/or do all nighter with chicas so you are going to see a few european-dominicana couples in the morning.

Took a walk from the Pico Pollo across from the gas station at the fork in the road near Hotel Venezia to Hotel/Casino Jaragua along Avenida Independencia.

What did I see? 0.0 available chicas. 0.0 as in 0, zero, cero, nada, SW free, no leche bank chicas looking for a midnight deposit. Gentlemen I kid you not, there were no chicas out and about. Only thing reminded me of the chicas that used to be there was the slow moving Policia Nacional SUV and a Military vehicle I saw crusing the avenue.

This crackdown looks serious and it doesn't look like the chicas will be returning any time soon. Shyte so crazy I got questioned twice walking into the Jaragua parking lot. I just said No hablo espanol and the security guard waved me on.

It was strange seeing "regular" couples going in and out of Riazor. First time in a long, long time I didn't see any foreign tourists wining and dining their love of the night at Manolos Restaurant.

Anyone thinking well maybe it is the slow season or it is a Monday night. You can forget that thought because it has nothing to do with the current SW situation.

Can't answer that one as I am not familiar with the Sarasota SW action. At night I do my best to avoid driving. I usually do a walking tour of Avenida Independencia, the circle at Parque Independencia, and the Malecon. All of these areas have been cleanded up using the best cloro the DR has available.

I may be proven wrong later but I really don't think the SW action will return like it was a little over a month ago. The colmado across from Hotel Navarro had three of the hard core regulars hanging out but they never left the property of the colmado. There was one chica sitting on the bench in front of Hotel Navarro who after a few glances gave me a very discrete wave. Two or three touts hanging out by Club 305 were also very, very low key in approaching possible clients.

and YES the traffic has slowed. Was sitting at the outdoor dining area of the Mercure Hotel and watching the traffic. I noticed a lot of single chicas carrying books and dressing like the everyday Dominicanas. Eye contact told me they were available. A couple had the slutty look and was told my a pro who moved to my table that they probably paid off the cops.

S[/QUOTE]I don't know what drnights or other similar places charge per night. If you want to have a chica stay with you for 24 hours per day, probably the least expensive way to do that, would be to go to Sosua (north coast, use Puerto Plata Airport) and negotiate with a freelancer.

Blackbeards on the north coast is another option.

Appears the people in Santo Domingo don't want to have freelancers roaming the streets. A casa chica for 24 hours will be expensive.
