Perhaps it is, but at a tremendous cost. Imagine continents totally covered with solar panels.

The amount of resources needed to construct all the solar panels, windmills, batteries, etc. Would dwarf any other usage in the industrial age. And fossil fuels are needed to refine, build, transport, etc.

Canada alone will need 90 new nuclear power plants to meet needs for electricity for the 0 carbon goal. There is not even 1 being built. And in Ontario we have spent billions on solar and wind energy, and it is not even a significant fraction of current demand. Hence need for baseload nuclear plants. None of which are being built.

Shifting to electric cars is a step in the right direction though. The cheapest cleanest energy at the moment is Nuclear and many renewable energy experts would advocate we need to start producing a lot more our nation's electric from Nuclear power plants, Finland has done this and its working very well for them. Eventually, fossil fuels are going to run out, long before that it will just be flat out too expensive to purchase gasoline. We also desperately need to conserve fossil fuels to manufacture products from plastics. Not many substances can match the versatility of plastics. Also, you going to pay 10 bucks a gallon or buy an EV which gets its energy from renewable sources? And finally, the carbon emissions probably aren't great for the environment. I am not the expert of course, but if you look into it a bit, this seems to be the most logical solution.

If you have a better answer, I would love to hear it?

In a few decades we should have Nuclear Fusion technology which will produce no toxic waste, no air pollution, and produce several times more energy than the current form we have which is Nuclear fission. When I engage and argue with people, it is often that I am making gambles and I want to account for as many variables as I can. Some guys were not willing to go to Colombia right away after the travel ban was lifted. First, the description for children:

If someone says "I was in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, you can claim the person was in Kingston, Jamaica, having sex with a goat. There is zero accountability.

To make it worse, whoever runs the channel can delete any comments which point out the inaccuracies in the video. So, not only is there no verification process, but there no process to identify errors or deliberate misrepresentations.

YouTube contributors aren't even accountable to advertisers. The video earns money based solely on the number of views.

If you're getting your scientific information from YouTube, then you're one of the idiots eating up the biased views.
