All perfumes start as benzene. But there's no benzene in perfume.

A pure chemical (measured by GC / MS assay) is a pure chemical. And if the process for getting the chemical pure is easy enough, it's what any reputable chemist is going to do. (They have to clean it [I]somehow[/I], otherwise it'll be like 90% gunk and won't even resemble the final product. And usually, the "easy" way to clean chemicals is also the best way: distillation, vacuum filtration and recrystallization.)

The leaves (if you just buy or pick them), meanwhile, are probably soaked in pesticides to the point that you can't get them out just by washing. (As is any farmed plant used mostly as an input to industrial-scale extraction of a chemical.).

I am at the point where theres only one in the chamber and at times two. Two nuts and I have to skip a day. I can remember the Tijuana street scene many years ago when the sidewalks would be lined up with girls, and the very popular girls, would be getting pulled a lot, and if you stood around a while you would notice it. And all of those sessions in Tijuana were typically like twenty minutes, so the hot ones were sometimes doing easily one an hour and more. I have a nice place to chill with a Chica for a few days at a time in Poblado when I want, getting to blow loads whenever I want, especially early in the morning, at happy hour during Sunset, before bedtime, and when I don't have a Chica at my place, I do bombing runs in El Centro.

OK, switching gears, I will give credit where credit is due. I bowed to peer pressure yesterday and veered off my well beaten path rat race to Veracruz / Botero / Berro. Truth be told it was only partially due to peer pressure from Blakman and Surfer. Their virus risk admonitions gave me a moment of pause. It was long enough to be distracted by messages from my old friend Cata the administradora at Zandaly. She playfully scolded me because I did not honor my promise to stop in since their triumphant reopening. We go back more than ten years so our relationship does not have as many boundaries as it probably should. Anyway, I reluctantly passed on the street opportunities and stopped in to inspect the recent renovations. It is quality work. There is brand new tile flooring throughout. It's not done yet but the already completed rooms give a view of a bright future. A USA size water heater feeds all the fully renovated en suite bathrooms. The biggest change (rather than improvement) is the addition of session rooms on the previously unused basement level. I don't expect the additional capacity will lead to a New Life type of environment. The bar was intentionally left unfinished and its stools are gone. This is a nod to the ongoing virus situation so they can demonstrate social distancing. The bar scene at Zandaly has always been one of my favorite things about the place.[/QUOTE]Thanks K appeciate the update on Zandaly. It's the first place I got laid in el centro and I don't remember the pesos but do remember it was $13 worth. I never learned her name or became friends but I know the lady always there you're talking about. The place has a great vibe. Even when she'd tell me "no hay flacas para ti hoy" I'd hang out for a couple beers to absorb the blasting music and friendly atmosphere. It's always felt like a safe zone to rest for a while in el centro. I love the bar set-up too. Like chicas amigas. Wonder why other casas don't copy that. I look forward to checking out the renovation. Hope they get a couple flacas back too.
