Scammed at DC10
Yea, I'm pretty pissed. Walked around 2nd floor at Nana Plaza, 3 ladies pull me in pretty aggressively. It's my second time in one of these bars so all I know is what I read on the forum. I thought sure, one drink with one girl. All 3 sit with me (and everything was happnening so fast I wasn't even 100% sure if they were ladyboys. Anyways, all 3 sit down and mamasan asks if I want to buy them all drinks, I told all 4 of them, I'll buy one drink only and the other 2 ladies were begging / pouting to sit with me also. How much could these drinks be right? The beer is 160 baht, I assumed the lady drinks would be the same. Drinks come, mamasan leaves and it's just us 4. After pretty aggressive persuading me to ST one of them and still not confident they weren't ladyboys, I wanted to pay the check and leave. I call the mamasan over for the check and the bill was 875 baht! F*ck it, lesson learned. I pulled out a 1000 bill and one of the girl snatches it away, I turned to the mamasan and gave her a look like there's the money. After about 5 second passes the girl pulls the bill back out and said I only gave a 100 bill. I thought oops, I must have pulled out the wrong bill, so I pulled out another 1000 bill and now they're all pestering me for tips, 100 baht each. I initially told them no, but they faces all got confrontational along with mamasan. Finally got out of there and I checked my wallet and then confirmed the first bill was 1000. Total cost for this Lesson. 2400 baht. It didn't help that the mamasan (a confirmed ladyboy) was saying I HAD to tip her too.
Towards the end though, I did confirm they were ladies (so they say) and the girls said the only ladyboys there were the 2 Mamasans. Avoid DC10!

Thanks for the heads up about the 1000 baht to 100 baht scam, though. I have some friends, male and female, who like to check out the "show" at some ladyboy bars every now and then. I will tell them to avoid DC10 like the plague if that is the kind of scam the place is pulling.

Yes, 1500-2000 baht for really good sex with decent looking girls on the premises (at the massage shops on Soi 23?) or 2500 baht for it in your room doesn't sound out of line for how things are today. The key words being "really good sex", of course. And that is where the modern time Thai P4P scene requires mongers to hone their negotiation skills, imo. I wouldn't pay less than half that amount for what passes for "standard" modern time Thai P4P fare, but I have no problem paying that much for a Real GFE/PSE kind of sex with Thai girls. Unfortunately, modern time Thai P4P girls aren't generally handing out that kind of Real sex to guys who aren't negotiating/asking for it. They are too used to doling out the "standard" fare to guys who still pay those cited amounts for such a thing.

I honestly don't know how anybody could walk into a LB Go Go in LOS and not notice where they were or with whom they were interracting. Agreed! Their ruthlessness is as fucked up as their looks! Horrible business especially from mamasan, how do you expect to get repeat customers.
