I have just returned from a two weeks holiday on Curacao.
I had a good time and visited Campo every night.
Every night I went twice.

The actual number of chicas at this moment is : 73

Ford who is the local authority on Curacao (and I trust him) says yessssssssssssssssss on the car. Taxis are min 10-20 dollars a trip, figure that up after 3-4 trips a day (campo, store, bar, campo, titty bar). I was just checking and you can get a car for about 200.00 a week. Hope this helps.

Again Curaçao on google earth with the hotels close to the action: Mariott, Hilton and Holyday Beach Hotel. The other hotels are mainly at Mambo Beach, I could not point them out as they are not anymore in the high resolution area plus hidden by clouds.

Hi Routard,

Am I making a mistake? I zoomed in to about 5000 feet on Google Earth. Followed the road out of Campo (which I have taken many times) and started my trek back to the Marriott.

You first pass the Hato Airport on your right, then the road bends left past the Mitsubishi dealership on your left, thru the rotary, past the turnoff on the right for the Centrum Supermarket (where I stock up on my Amstel Brights :))
past the water treatment plant on the right, but then the turn for all of Piscadera Bay seems to be obscured by clouds on my version.

I think the Hilton, Marriott, and the World Trade Center Curaçao - it's all under clouds............
(I have a very detailed Berndston Map of the island of Curacao - Damned if I know where it is though. I'll sort thru the clutter in my house - I'll check back) ;)

The only casino that had any games was the holiday beach.

At the time, they had tournaments sunday and wednesday. Those nights there were cash games immediately following the tournaments. The other nights were hit and miss for games. A couple times we couldn't even get a decent game going there. As Ford has said, the players are terrible.

My friend won the Sunday tourney right after we arrived for $2700 florins if memory serves...then, finished second that Wednesday night. I reached the final table both night but ran into some bad luck. Each tournament had about 30 people in it. Sunday's buy-in was higher but I don't remember exactly what they were.

There are no games at the Hilton.

The Marriott had a table for games if customers were "interested", but, never had a game while I was there.

Can't wait to go back again this fall/winter.

After further review ;)- you are %100 correct. In your version of Google earth the Marriott, the Hilton and the World Trade Center are crystal clear. The cloud covering seems to come in right at about the turn of for Denny's and the Holiday Beach Hotel.

That's true Ford, it is addictive. We've been talking about a return trip ever since we got back from the last one. I posted earlier about some of our experiences there. The amazing thing is. When we tell some of our stories. Our other friends just don't believe us. I keep referring them to this site to hear other people's stories and not just ours.

The only thing that we both saw as a negative to Curacao was its lack of a great night life. And, we were there the week before Carnival. There was usually only one place per night that had any people there. And, thanks to some posters here earlier. We were able to find those places. Amazingly, you do get tired of "shooting fish in a barrel" and want to use your own "negotiating skills" to hook-up by about day five or so. The funny thing is. Now that we're back in the states. At the end of the night. We'll often say that we wish there was a campo around here to stop by on the way home.

Just thought I would share my experiences of the past 5 trips to the blessed island. These are just my observations, and as always, YMMV. However, this has always worked for me, and led to wonderful experiences with memories that last a lifetime.

1. Speaking Spanish. This is an absolute must. I practically learned most of my espanol at Campo Alegre ( and the not-so-mean streets of Bogota,Cartagena and Bucaramanga). The brain is the most important sex organ, IMHO. if you cannot talk to the chica, how good can the experience be?

2. Be clean. A lot of the local men have a rather strange idea of personal hygiene. The girls appreciate being clean tremendously. Light cologne also works wonders (nothing heavy, it is hot on the island). Also, I received so many "Ay Papi, que bueno!" for being shaved "down there". Highly recommended in the tropical heat.

3. Do not paw the girls in public. They hate that. I can assure you that after you establish some rapport with the chica she will want you to touch her everywhere and then some. Make her climax, and she will be ready to blow you behind the nearest palmera. But squeezing her tits in front of the bar is probably not the best idea. :-)

4. The chicas are women, and many of them (I would say the vast majority) are sex-starved. There has yet to be one Campo chica who has refused to be orally pleasured, for example. Do this, and your experience will be so much better. I had a cute blonde paisa literally chase me around Campo my last time there, so we could go to her room and she could get off.

5. If you know something about their home country (or better yet, their home town) it serves as a great ice breaker. I have a collection of Colombian T-shirts I wear at Campo, and immediately get asked if I have been to Colombia and what cities I have visited.
