I found a few pictures of Remington Palace chicas on an old pc backup cd, pics were not taken by me. Remington Palace closed a few months after the presidential decree regulating the closing time of alcohol selling places were in effect. I can compare RP to 305 but cheaper, 2,000 pesos vs 3000-3500 on 305.

Personally, the location is so much better than Paco's (or whatever they call it now). Paco's was pretty seedy and the bus traffic and lack of shade didn't help the place.

Great pix. I only got to Remington one time before it closed and I loved it. I'm a big fan of 305 but Remington was something else.
That being said, are you sure about the last pic? I thought that was taken in Sosua about 5 years ago.

You're right, I mispoke. But before I mispeak again, let me check with the guy who I believe actually took the pic.
I just arrived on Monday and wanted to checkout Piano Bar since I had never been there in the 5 years I have been coming to Santo Domingo. Well was I suprised, I found the hidden gem of the island. This place is on 56 Pastuer which is on the other side of Indepencia about 10 houses up. The chicas are rated from 8- 10's. They treat you like a king and the price is right. 2 chicas for $1500RD for 1 hour. You will be amazed and satisfied what happens. You tip them but it is up to you. The don't ask for more they appreciate what you give them. But you will tip them well for the service you get. The woman who runs it is a fun person. No attitude in this place. I saw 4 of the 6 girls woring there. All A++. Check it out when you get here.
Let me tel you, you can now walk Indepencia and Pastuer and not see a chica or a street pimp around, although I got one that followed me when I was walking on Pastuer around 3pm. I could not shake him and it started raining so I walked back to that store mear the Mystic and stood under the awning. He followed me. It wasn;t 30 seconds when a Policia SUV pulled up and tryed to speak to me in spanish. I don't speak spaniish. The umbrella guy standing next to me spoke to him, I said no comprende and the officer laughed. They were going to arrest him but I said nothing. It is clean. You see them at night patrolling. Also I was in the Jaragua casino about 11pm and there were only 2 chicas at the upstairs bar. The slot area was empty. They are not letting them hang out there I guess. Sol Melio there were no chicas around 1pm last night. mybe 1 or 2 playing cards, but they did not stand out. Good luck!

Exact same thing I saw this past weekend. As much as I liked having the SW around if I lived in the area I would probably be pleased to see it cleaned up. Won't be long and Avenida Independencia will be filled with senior aged couples out for a late night stroll..............

It is highly probable that it is not a RP photo, I remember their policy of no camera inside, . The guy who took the pic was a Sosua Palace fan.
Did the policia get rid of the adult males, and shoe shine kids asking for spare change too? Or just the good looking women?

The shoeshine kids are still around. The men pimps are gone and the will arrest them if they see them bothering anybody, like it happened to me. There is no chicas around. The traffic is very light at night on Independcia.
