There are lots of good hotels in Istanbul for almost every budget. I recommend you to stay close to where you will be visiting since traffic can be a problem.

I went to Aksaray on a Friday night.

The action was pretty limited. I stopped by Bacardi. It wasn't open yet, but the bouncer told me it would open in half an hour or so. I waited a bit, than got bored and head home.

If this is your first trip to Istanbul please check the rest of this forum and take some care.

Aksaray is OK. Please avoid shady joints. Balans and some of the other bars are OK.

FOR MP I suggest you check internet before traveling and get an idea of where they are. Prenses is fairly central.

For MP expect to pay 100TL to the cashier and then about 100TL to the lady for a tip. Depends on what service she offers.
