[/QUOTE]Yes, as I mentioned in my post, that area at the bottom of the stairs behind Mandarin Bar is one place in Nana Plaza where I have smelled "garbage". But only when I am standing in that one area. Otherwise, it is smells coming from the food carts.

The stinky plumbing issue, the one I have noticed at least, can come up anywhere in Bangkok, even in perfectly decent hotels, condos and apartments. Like a strong cabbage smell. But it is fleeting and it goes away as fast as it comes up. I am told it has something to do with Bangkok having an "open" sewer system so gasses cannot build up and cause an explosion as has happened in some large metropolitan cities.

When that smell comes up in a toilet I am near, I have observed it going away if I flush the toilet three times in a row after each refill of the tank. Don't know if that is what makes the smell go away, just that it seems to do so after I do that three flush routine. It happens in my apartment complex, a very clean and tidy, vermin-free, garbage-free building essentially between Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy, about once every month or two. Even without doing the three flush routine, that cabbage smell will go away within a half hour.

But I've got to ask the general membership here something; I have been reading about testing yourself, testing the girl, testing too soon, testing too cheaply, testing for this, testing for that, testing the right way, testing often enough, retesting, testing and retesting again for many years on these kinds of message boards and have to say I have not once in all those years read a Field Report saying anything like, "Oh my god, that was a close one! I got my girl tested before fucking her and I'll be damned if she didn't have HIV!" Or, "I'll be damned if she didn't come up with one of those drug resistant STDs we've all been hearing about!" Or, "I'll be damned if I didn't test positive for BOTH!!"

The question: Has that ever happened to anyone reading this? I don't want to hear that it happened to a friend of a friend's cousin or some such tale. Has it ever happened to YOU? It has certainly never happened to me.

I have never read such a thing on any of these message boards, ever. Maybe I just missed it. But can we quietly assume nobody is taking anyone's advice about testing oneself and testing one's girl? Or is it that with all the testing and retesting of ourselves and our girls over the years, not one of us or those girls has come up with anything worth mentioning? Or is the horrible truth that it turns out all of us and our girls are riddled with HIV, drug resistant STDs and worse, but we're all too embarrassed to admit it online with our anonymous usernames? LOL. Seriously, folks.[/QUOTE]It is unrealistic to suppose people are going to disclose that they are HIV positive or have a drug-resistant strain of gonorrhea on the internet, whether they are truly anonymous or known by other people who can identify them (which is the case with many people here). (1) what other STD test they provide? (gonorrhoea, chlamydia, etc?

(2) any ideas how long do the other test take?

I'm thinking of getting a thorough test during my trip.

[/QUOTE]The 2nd HIV test is a different test that takes more time. It is the virus amplification test and is much more sensitive. So the initial test is only moderately accurate and could miss a very small amount of HIV in your system. The subsequent contact occurs if the amplification test was able to detect minute amounts the initial quick test could not.

Amplification test is much cheaper at red Cross, than most places, due to having a lot of customers. They can split your blood into two parts. The first is mixed with 20 other patients (as example) and then undergoes amplification. If no HIV is detected at all. Then all 20 pass negative. If a positive occurs, then they have to redo amplification for each separate patient to see who caused the positive. Red Cross best know how many patients is optimal for efficiency to amplify together.

So actually your initial report on the day, is not the end of it. That is just a good indicator. What percent reliable I don't know exactly. There is no follow up reconfirm document however. They contact you if something is found wrong.

Last visit to Mercury, it still had Coyotes and go-go girls.

Seems it was approx. Jun 2017 when it changed to be Mercury Ladyboy bar. I was struggling to believe it could possibly be a full year ago. I really cannot imagine why there is a need for so many ladyboy bars in Nana Plaza, but maybe the sweep out of some Sukhumvit ladyboy cart bars, and regular police raids against ladyboys in Soi 4 had that effect.

Anyway, I doubt LB bars in general are safe, since LBs often have to stoop to scams and crimes to get money.

Scam bars are still existing upstairs in Pat Pong it seems. E. g. The bars names "pussy" something. These are "pay for show" bars. To me the shows are not worth anything. The shows in Crazy House are ugly awful too, utilising the ugliest girls in the shop who can't get money by other means. I don't want to contribute any tips for show performers. No interest whatsoever. Girls that ugly should just go find some other way to make money, e. G. Oily massage joints. Pat Pong style shows in Long Gun, are not much better, but at least they have some dance shows by girls not in the "ugliest" category.

I probably first encountered a scam bar upstairs in Pat Pong in 1991. My more experienced wingman did the dirty, and left the bar before me, leaving me to deal with the bill and attempted rip offs for non existent cover charge and for shows. Somehow I managed to stay firm and get out of there paying for the drinks only and nothing else. I could speak Thai a little bit at the time, but probably not relevant. Maybe they sensed I was just not that intimidated by them. Can't really say how aggressive they might get. For some reason, since that date, I have seen scam attempts on other newbie customers at certain bars in Pat Pong like "Thigh Bar" long ago, maybe Firecat or similar (hard to remember), but was never attempted on me again. So must be something to do with the newbie look for guys who do not know what is going on. Speaking better Thai at a later date must have excluded me.

I suppose it happens, but I would guess rarely. And if a so-called sponsor did this (are there many sponsors on this forum?) I doubt he would come running to post the result on the internet.

I guess I would say it is because either very few straight men or their lady friends actually bother to get tested or their test results are what statistics say they would likely be; negative / non-reactive for anything really serious that could possibly be transmitted from men to women or women to men during the course of typical vaginal or oral sex. Meaning, the hysteria about what one ought to be worried about enough to get tested just doesn't pan out as justified in the real world.

I have used those OraQuick test kits on girls before. I had 5 kits and used them all. None of them tested positive. I wish I knew a girl who was HIV positive just to run one of those tests on her to see if they really work.

[/QUOTE]Today visited Nana Plaza. Could not find any stinky areas. It has been well cleaned up. All the ground bars in the centre are gone, and now has a sail like roof.

One cannot assume one knows a bar unless one has visited recently and really several times or regularly. Because line ups change a lot from day to day and completely within months.

Started at Nana Plaza in New Lollipop. Was only 8 PM so a bit early it seems for NP. The line up seemed to have deteriorated a lot from last visit but no LBs detected and apparently the Coyotes had not yet arrived. No topless girls. Boring!

Next stop was Diamonds 2nd floor (ex Candyland 2 and ex Hotlips I think). Mostly pretty girls whether Coyotes or gogo girls. Suprisingly good average standard. Definitely better than Crazy House on average. A few girls were topless and had beautiful naturals (if not huge). I liked one skinny girl but she dashed to straight to her regular customer an old fat guy. I should check again another day. Diamonds had 2 LBs at least, but was a secret not to be discussed. LOL One was entertaining a Farang customer.

Twisters. A large line up of girls, most above average, but very few stunners this time. I would say the line up has deteriorated to be well behind Billboard right now. One stunning girl did interest me.

Next stop Butterflys on 3rd floor. Greatly improved from Jailbirdz previously and quite a lot of girls. Trying to copy the Billboard setup having a girls in bath area. No real stunners, but some acceptable girls. Nothing to draw me back in a hurry.

Next Billboard. Wow Billboard had a line up vastly better than my last visit a few months back. Astonishing how they had quite a few pretty tall slim model types on the rotating stage. I fancied a very cute 900, but seemed she had an Asian customer who was thoroughly hooked and playing around with her, she did not return to the stage. A couple of the bath area girls were also nice. 836 looked very familiar. It finally dawned on me that she looked like a less slim sister for Kiera Knightly, with face and smile reminiscent but more flesh (so not gaunt). There were so many hot girls on the rotating stage that one could get very confused, as to which one was preferred. Obviously need to return early another day to try to get 900. Billboard was the busiest bar visited not absolutely full.

Rainbow was visited quite early (after Lollipop) but they had only 3 girls dancing and no customers, so obviously before right time.

Went to Cowboy and intended to see if Long Gun was as poor as I saw at my last visit, but never made it. Looked in Five Star (small sister bar to Crazy H). A few girls dancing nude, but they also have Coyotes. Ging dancing naked recognised me immediately since she was an ex regular for me at Crazy House, maybe 3 years ago. Ging has lost weight so very curvy but tits are now only just a CeeCup I guess. Once she was heavier and a Dee-cup. Still her ass was looking very good. Ging was the only gogo girl I knew there, but a couple of others looked okay I ended up BFing Ging as per old times, and had a good session as usual. She seemed horny enough. Ging tells me she is reluctant to go with customers she does not know already, but I can't tell if this is true or not. She claims to be most days just selling drinks. Ging is happy to go with me though, since I am a nice guy (with girls I like), and she secretly likes the DATY (as do most of my girls), which is understandable. It's similar to most guys really like a great BJ but not easy to get a really good one out of many bargirls. Maybe some guys will remember Ging with big naturals, I think was number 50 at CH 2 to 3 years back.

5 star had at least one LB gogo girl, who was entertaining an Asian customer sitting right next to me. I am not sure if he knew. Again was supposed to be a secret for these Post-op types. Crazy Cats has at least one LB too. So LBs are starting to creep into a lot of bars which are supposed to be girl only bars. Stay vigilant and if you think a girl looks a bit sus, she probably is.

I was actually looking for 2 or 3 known girls in Nana Plaza, without knowing for sure where they might work. None of the 3 were found, but found some surprisingly good places for pretty girls, unexpectedly, and confirmed that right now Nana Plaza is not stinky anywhere that I passed, including several stairwells. There has been a very good clean up job done.

3 Cart bars were open in Soi 23, as per last visit.

Also a couple of Bangkok Bunnies girls, not mentioned in your tour. But I am not attracted to or inspired by as many girls there lately as in other bars.

Supposedly, after the outdoor canopy work is completed and tested, the center area outside bar will reopen.

I have only taken 1-2 repeated girls from Soi Cowboy lately since Nana Plaza is a little closer to where I live (LOL) and I have been quite pleased with the new girls I have taken from Nana Plaza and that area these days. But, most importantly, I find Soi Cowboy to only "look" like it is loaded with younger, prettier girls available for P4P than Nana when in fact it is mostly loaded with non-barfineable, panty hose wearing, Lady Drink hustling Coyote scammers not worth more to me than a row of lovely potted plants. With a few exceptions here and there of course.
