This is higher than for HIV man being treated. For the man the risk is said to be about 50% of that, e.g. 1 in 2500 (lower if circumsized), similar to risk of performing felatio. DATY should be significantly lower and hard to get numbers. Man not circumsized doing BB anal has a much higher risk, and sharing needles is probably the most risky of all.

I would not like to see the girl take the Oraquick result too seriously. Treat is as an indicator to get the better tests done. She can get the proper blood test cheaply and quickly at Red Cross. The full "all clear" from very sensitive "amplification test" follow-up takes a few days though.

The doctor there seemed to think those OraQuick were pretty accurate. I use OraQuick for testing in the USA because it's such a pain in the ass getting that test done at the doctor's office in the USA. You spend more time filling out confidentiality forms than actually getting the test. Then getting the results in the USA is a royal pain in the ass as well. I've always tested negative, but they won't even tell me that over the phone, I have to physically come into the office and talk directly to the doctor (which usually requires about a hour wait in that office just to have him tell me the result was negative).

Regardless of the testing means, if I were to ever encounter a positive test, I would take it seriously and go to a different place to test again.

So use the Red Cross. Maybe 1 hour after blood extracted, for initial result printed on paper and given by a doctor. So there is some wait. Perhaps two hours in total from entering to be finished, maybe 90 minutes is possible. Followup amplification result can be a contact by phone or email a few days later. Don't have to go back just to get the negative result. It has to be a lot cheaper than the hospital and less mucking around. I have tried both ways.

Red Cross is at intersection of Ratchadamri and Sarasin (opposite NW corner of Lumphini park. Walking distance from Ratchadamri BTS 400 m).

Would be interesting if there are any estimated figures for the percentage of freelance hookers being HIV positive in BKK, Pattaya, and up country. I would expect up country to be the highest. Actually the risk to a woman from an infected man is more like 1 in 2000. Of course if he has huge tool, odds go up because of possible tears in tissue and blood exchange. For guys it's like 1 in 4000 vaginal with infected partner. 1 in 1500/2000 anal with infected partner.

I think if you are circumcised, that is an additional layer of protection. And a good one. (this has been well documented).

There was a time the HIV test fell off my blood work in my annual physical. He just did the oral swab and I got the result back in 20 minutes.

Some guy reported he was not impressed by Crazy House and how Long Gun had better girls dancing naked.
