Where are you checking your hotel prices? You quoted Hotel Premier for BR153 and the Hotel Ibis Centro for BR135. I would be extremely interested not only in those rates but the site where you checked. Is this website reliable? Please, let me know. I would be there in August.
As far as 4 X 4 rates, they were charging R220/50 as late as January this year with no entry if you session before 5pm.

I had a nicer experience last year at Bar 22 than at L'uomo, and the price was much lower. L'uomo was not bad, and the performances were about the same, but the environment at 22 was more festive. I'd recommend 22 as an alternative to save some cash since you are mongering there for so long. All these termas garotas say completa. If you want to keep them honest, ask to look in their purse first. If the lidocaine cream is in there, she's completa. If not, probably not.

Since you're doing the termas tour, please give us a report on the current prices and talent at Florida as well. :) I've chosen Ibis Centro as my primary base for my trip next month and appreciate the good intel that you've been giving for that area. Ibis is currently about $R153/noite and has good proximity to BA, RB, VM. Seems close enough to Lapa bars to make some non-pro activities feasible, so it could be interesting. I screwed up and had to edit that. It is R154 at Ibis, R135 at Premier toward the end of June. I checked Ibis' website and Hotel Reservation System HRS for Premier. Copa just wasn't interesting me that much last June, dead, so I am bugging out this June to Centro, and Ibis seems to be the best girl friendly hotel up there. Hopefully I can pull some freebies from Lapa, or if worse comes to worse I'd try to pull a decent nordenista at Feira SC. All the other gringos seemed to be at home in June last year, so I should have been trying to save a buck by finding gringo hunters in bars. But I was staying in Copa like a true monger and figured that I'd not be able to fool a non-pro once she found out I was staying in Copa, so I never tried roaming elsewhere after freebies and spent most of the time enjoying Centro P4P back and forth to Copa via Metro.

I'll be trying to make up for something stupid I did over in Indonesia last month..turning down a ST at the low-low price of Brasil equivalent R$2, todo including pics and anal. Then I took a better looking girl at 30 times that price and had to kick her out of the room before she ever got her clothes off, for backing out of doing pics which she had already agreed to in the bar. Total damage Brasil equivalent R$4 taxi fare and went to bed with blue balls. Can the BA85 challenge can absolve me? I have never been clear on whether a pop is required on each floor, if so, I'll have to plan accordingly with sleep and chemistry. Last time I didn't even session there, cause my dick was a little sore from being grabbed too hard on the stairs and my shirt had been pulled so many times that I decided to leave and hit RB for something more slow and enjoyable.

But BA85 is sounding nice to me now, as does U210 and the place on Ouvidor that is really cheap and I could never find last time, 1 pop unlimited time. When they say unlimited time at Ouvidor, I wonder if they mean unlimited time unenhanced or unconditionally? If mongers are enhancing with C or similar without needing it, they can go damn near forever with a rubber and not pop even if they want to. So then that pushes the girls into these situations where they are switching to bareback to get the session over with, or at least that's been my experience elsewhere.

Bar 22 is in Copa on 22 Siqueria Campos toward the beach from Luomo and the metro station. I would say its a big step below Luomo in atmosphere and a big step above NS Copa 583 204 which had a little joke of a bar and a only few garotas. 22 is more of a normal bar with a lot of people just drinking and some girls available in the boite. About 10 on the Friday night when I was there. I paid $R100/30 but you can do better. Check SlimHoleDrill's post here.

When I compare 22 to Luomo, I am comparing to Ane at L'uomo as the representative girl. Some others on here have sessioned with her. She was an energizer bunny with great presentation like L'uomo girls have, except especially good with glittery makeup and PVC outfit with boots. But all that comes off in the cabine, except the boots which I made her keep on. Then you realize that you just paid more for boite presentation, marketing to be exact. Down the street at 22, it was more real transitioning from the boite to cabine because the presentation in the boite is about the same as when you get to the cabine. The garota called Bianca at Bar 22 was much more girl-next-door and a better Brasilian experience, less professional and more natural and enjoyable. The other garotas seemed to be of the same persona. YMMV.

22 had garota bingo, which I loved from a previous Sao Paulo trip and haven't seen anywhere in Rio other than 22. Brasilian guys were drinking it up and having a good time groping the girls and hoping to win bingo. As the bingo cards fill up, the energy of the place becomes amazing with everyone in anticipation of winning a free session. The bingo slip had a picture of a little cartoon squaw with a feather in her hair, so I think it was made specifically for termas bingo. The girl that I eventually sessioned sat on my lap waiting to see if I would win her, and sticking her tongue in my ear. When I didn't win, I paid at the entrance window at the top of the stairs and we went back for fuck. It was a fun place. Anyway, I'd pick Bar 22 over L'uomo because it made me feel like I was in normal Rio instead of feeling like a tourist trap, the feel of L'uomo. But more discriminating high-class mongers would prefer L'uomo for the cleaner and more upscale environment.

atm/credit cards are widely used in brasil, i see them used all the time in the sucos for small purchases, they have those wireless terminals they bring you to the table/counter to swipe your card for security.

i extensively used my card in helpee (when it was open) and all the termas trouble free, with no fees at a very healthy rate.

Don't worry. I don't think anything stops a GP, except an empty wallet. I did 2 different programas in Termas Dreams in Sao Paulo whilst my chest was covered in my own visible and aromatic vomit. Neither garota seemed to mind.

Your least complicated approach is to go to an apartment like Bel Prazer and show the mama/papa. They will be able to set you up with a friendly girl from their squad.

There have been a lot of reports about a lack of GP's in this area of town on the weekends. I'd like to point out that Bel Prazer in Centro and Massagem Tijuca near Maracanã both have hours on Saturday, 10-3 and 10-6:30 respectively.

MT is a subsidary of Flavia, so should be good, and has lower pricing too.

I have mixed feelings on BP cause I picked a veteran girl (Isabela) from there last year with hopes of completa per reports on GPguia, only to find that she doesn't even want CIM and got furious when I did shoot in her mouth. I think I speak for about 1000 guys who have been to L'uomo 100s of times. I have never heard of anyone missing anything. Ever. Unless they have had some recent personnel changes, the women working the locker room are not people I would accuse of thievery.

I've found this board so useful for information, that when it happened I felt I needed to post something. I find it hard to even believe it happened to me because I've had so many good experiences at L'Uomo myself.

It definitely happened at L'Uomo and I'll tell you why. Went to Citibank on Visconde de Piraja around 4. 30pm on Sunday afternoon and took out R$500. I already had R$450 in my wallet and figured I would have some insurance cash. What struck me was that I received 3 x R$100 notes. This was the first time I had ever gotten R$100 notes and thought to myself, oh these are going to be a pain to get rid of. So I thought I would use them at L'Uomo. Hopped into a taxi and got to L'Uomo about 8 minutes later. Paid taxi R$14 and saw the R$100 notes in my wallet when I had taken money out.

Into L'Uomo. Locker room attendant was a girl with curly hair. She was there the day before (Saturday) and I had given her a R$5 tip, which I thought was a decent one. I normally don't pay much attention to these girls, obviously because my focus is on what's through the door.

I had sessioned with Ingrid the day before. Ingrid's reputation precedes herself and it is well-deserved. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived she was already busy with someone else, although she did come over and say hello. Patricia then sat down next to me and started to do the usual kiss in the ear routine. I let that go on for about a minute or two but told her politely that I did not intend on sessioning with her and that I didn't want to waste her time (and mine too). She just didn't do it for me. Didn't seem to be any hard feelings either.

Natalie (or Nathalie, however they spell it down here) came over. Had a drink and then went to the room. Handed over my locker key to her and she was back 5 minutes later. A great performance but not Ingrid or Jamile (who Ingrid told me is no longer there).

Back in the boite. Still had time before I needed to meet a friend. Natasha was looking lonely. She clearly had not been with anyone all night long and I was wondering why. She looked good. So I called her over and it was almost as if she switched on another personality because I couldn't believe how outgoing she was. Two drinks later, we're heading for the room. Again, hand over the locker key and she goes and does whatever it is they do in that room for 5 or 10 minutes. Natasha was awesome.

It was like 8. 30 and I went into the locker room to make a call to my friend to see what time we were going to meet up. 9. 45 (or so, you know how Brazilians are with time). Just used my phone, didn't check my wallet at that time. Headed back into the boite and thought about a third session. Was thinking to myself that I had the cash so why not. Sat and had 2 beers and decided enough was enough so got cleaned up around 915.

Back in the locker room and went to look in my wallet and that's when I noticed the 3x R$100 notes were missing. Now, I'm not going to point the finger at the attendant in the locker room. The only people who had that locker room key were Natalie and Natasha. I've been trying to figure out how they could have done it. As far as I know, that little room they go into doesn't connect to the locker room. I can't see how it could have been done, but it was. I don't know how and will never know how.

It's never happened to me before (I know I have a low posting rate, call me one of those people who only post things when the bad happens). I've had so many good experiences in L'Uomo that I can't believe this happened.

Now, when I told them at the front, they told me this was impossible. Kept saying impossible. I told them that I wanted to see the girls. No. I asked for a R$100 discount off my bill. No. I thought that was reasonable. Kept refusing. Kept saying it was my fault that I should have taken my money into the bar with me. Yet, I remember the first time I was in L'Uomo (about a year ago), the very same woman who just told me that, saw me in the locker room about to go into the boite with my wallet tucked into the robe pocket to leave money in the locker because it is safer there. Whatever. I knew I was getting nowhere with them.

I paid. I walked out. And will not be returning. It pains me to say it. Will I ever leave money in a termas locker room ever again? No. Lesson learned. Thankfully it was only R$300. I can't figure out why the thief didn't take the rest of the cash or the credit cards but whatever. Maybe thief didn't think I'd notice.
