I was somewhat horrified, but like everything else, use it or lose it. Ten years back it was busy, and relaxed, the drinks prices were 60-80 Baht so you could stay in there for a few hours for 1 k Baht with a bg from another bar and buy the staff a few drinks. Post coup and other Thai issues customers dropped off and following Asian business logic prices went up a lot. A shame, and a great loss to decent music in BKK. I didn't really Climax had closed, last time I walk passed the Ambassador it appeared to be open, but I never went in. That was a few months back though. The Hillary bars (at least 3, or whichever one is on Soi 12) have funny rules for the lady drinks, which most customers might not notice, but they have 4 different drinks they have to have in order. After that they can have what they want. I have a friend there from a long time ago when she worked on Soi 33.

I don't go to all the bars, tending to stick to a few, but if you are on older bloke (I am) try Angelwitch, Rawhide and Long Gun. Buy a beer, watch the show and see who comes to talk. Go midweek when it is quieter and be patient. If you are very old and you want young ladies LT this may not work as well. But I am sure you know all that, sorry.

I can imagine that there's a Japanese or perhaps oriental market that they target in CH who might like the crap music they play over there. From the times I have entering both CH and Shark bar I had the impression that there were many more Asians in CH to be found comparing with Shark or even Dollhouse where there were more westerners. Not sure that this is due to the fact that they play more acceptable music in Shark and DH.

As for me I really do like some good music that not only suits my taste but also suits the bar. Looking at CH establishment I'm not sure that having better music, whatever that may be would be per se better in order to get more revenue. I think that playing this type of music is a part of their identity which perhaps suits the target they're aiming for. At the end I believe that most people don't go into bars that is according to their music type liking. I go into CH because the girls are naked. Nothing more, noting less.

Falhooos.[/QUOTE]Nana hotel should run you around 1700 baht, ask them for the newer renovated rooms it includes a buffet breakfast. Without knowing your spending habits and taste a guess is 10,000 baht should be more than enough at least for me.

**For my 3rd trip of 16 nights, the plan was to spend 5 nights in BKK; the first 3 and then the final 2. The first 3 were with my buddies V and L. It ended up being 9 nights, and I will touch on that later.
