As I have clearly stated here before, this petri created virus will continue to mutate as long as it is needed. And the main reason is the revolution of the financial system and modernization of the world. Basically the automation potential is being swept up, and capitalism are in desperate need of reform. The real world leaders don't care about 30 or even 100 million lives. Future technologies (which we already have the means to implement) are so advanced that old capitalistic rules would not work at all. And they are holding us back. So this is essential to the survival of humanity.

However I don't agree on using a pandemic in order to get us there.

Two important points to mention about this sentence.

First point, "leaky vaccines". Leaky vaccines are vaccines that don't significantly affect transmission. Sadly for you, there are more and more studies showing that the current vaccines significantly reduce transmission. Initially these studies were not a priority, but now they are showing up.

Second point, leaky vaccines breed highly infectious variants, because they put evolutionary pressure on the virus. Even this is debatable, but let me just point that all of UK variant, South African variant and Manaus variant showed up before mass vaccinations in those areas, because, duh, the more the virus circulates, the more likely for a new variant to show up.
