If over 7 hrs (landing to take off) you can either take the expensive option of booking into airport hotel (advance booking needed) and order in. It works well but costs extra 1,000 baht for travel. Gold and Golden have both proved reliable for this (book in advance, confirm on landing) as has Smooci (book on landing). Alternatively cab or public transport to and from one of well reviewed places around Sukhumvit.
But remember on entry into Thailand in takes some time to get through passport control unless you are VIPed and procedure on way out is certainly not speedy. Can take up to two hours from landing / before takeoff but you could be lucky.
Under 7 hours?

This was my first visit to Bangkok.

This place is famous and you see a lot of reviews on it. I went in was seated right in front of the soapy bathtub. Holy crap, smoking' hot ladies. There is also the second 'display' where the Ziggurat are dancing on a circular stage that is slowly rotating. So you can check out the product! I enjoyed that bathtub show for a while but I decided I wanted a lady on my lap. I found some seating around the side, near the rotating display.
I called over the mamasan and asked for a certain number.

First time it was a tense stand off where I had I was visiting what I thought was a female escort in London, turned out to be a ladyboy and the fucker locked the door upon entry so I couldn't get out. A good concept, but I found it kind of annoying in the end due to the way their staff operate to 'coach' the ladies.
I went in here two days in a row, the second time because I got some 95 THB happy hour drink coupon, which was honored without a fuss. (Lady drinks still full price. The 95 TBH was for the first drink only.).
When you ask for a dancer to sit with you, a staff member comes and sits right in front of you, within an arm's reach, watching your interactions, constantly talking to the lady and giving her instructions on what to do and when to ask for lady drinks. This same staff member kept lifting up my beer to verify there was actually beer left in the bottle. (You can't see the bottom because of the beer cozy).
The same 'coach' remembered me the second time, (I was wearing the same loud shirt,) and he was trying to get a lady drink out of me. I offered him a 100 THB tip instead. He was happy for that and it's also cheaper than LD prices.
They're also strategic here in giving you the right change to tip them, if you're not paying exact change.
Conclusion: The way they scrutinize you as you interact with the ladies is creepy and annoying. I do not plan to come back.

One of the more enjoyable places on the second floor. It's a smaller and more intimate place, with a darker room. This makes it harder for staff to come and hassle you for drinks, especially if you pick a good seat location.
I really loved the shower show. The lady is inside this plastic shower, soaping herself up. Starts in a swimsuit, ends up wearing nothing.
I didn't ask for any dancer to sit with me but I wasn't hassled at all either.
Conclusion: Good place to come back. Verify at the door when the shower show will start!
