Rent for a bar is high in prime real estate. Many staff to be paid salaries. They have to keep selling drinks. There is a very high turnover of bars in Nana simply because they go out of business. The fail to attract the right customers in sufficient numbers. Not enough customer buying drinks frequently enough. It is that simple.

Sure the bar can tolerate the odd customer sitting on one drink, but they don't like it. They need bar to be nearly full and with enough customers making a big spend over 1000 baht.

The entertainment is only able to be free on the basis that you keep buying drinks. Otherwise the costs of the dancers and other staff outweighs the spend of single drink customers.

Really all of the bars are trying to attract big spend customers, and as many as possible.

Mercury bar was getting a lot of Indian customers as had few skinny girls. Wasn't going good at all despite a few Coyotes. They had to change approach and are now a LB bar.

In a busy bar a one drink customer is hurting profits, perhaps better than nothing in an empty bar but it is only 100 Baht. Doesn't pay anything much. Even a customer seen sitting on one drink could be viewed as potentially having a bad effect on any other customers, seeing that it can be tolerated.

It is simple though, for those who don't want to buy a lot of drinks and are no longer interested in the entertainment. Meet the girl secretly outside the bar, or leave the bar quickly having seen there is no girl of interest to Barfine. I have my bargirl contacts. We can meet elsewhere when she is not attending the bar. Watching bargirls dance gets boring pretty quickly, so I am only there briefly to find and meet any new talent, if any, for some bars. If I don't have a girl to maybe fuck found, then no point to stay there.

There is no need to buy drinks for mamasan, especially that fat one, it only encourages her to hang around. I personally make it clear to girls that she should use a different mamasan. There should be more than one. One was a gay boy one time I was there, rather loud but still preferred. I forget how many in total.
