I have heard in the past that in Centaurus a couple of gentleman tried their locker keys in various lockers and many were opened.

Upon complaining to the management soon the lockers locks were changed.

Now this being said.

It would not be too difficult for a thief to pick one of the cheap locks used in most termas while the attendant was distracted.

I agree that a termas employee would not dare risk his or her job or risk bringing a bad reputation upon his or her place of employment.

But there is a possibility that the thief was another customer.

Just an idea.

I am arriving today in Rio coming from Sao Paulo. I had revieced some quick and nice information in the Sao Paulo thread on how to relax in the evenings after a hard day of work.

It is my first visit to Rio and I am staying until Sunday. I will be staying at the Merlin Hotel on Avenida Princesa Isabel.

I was looking for some action which does not kill my vallet as in Sao Paolo, the Clinicas where I was are not really cheaper then on mainland europe ;-)

Looking forward to any tips and places I could reach within walking distance if possible.

BA85 was open last time I went on a holiday - hours roughly the same as there are people thronging about the Uruguiana market.

Yes U210 has showers. And you can get a towel. But, strangely, no soap. Go figure.

Register with your email and finger print and after spending R700, entry is free. Not sure what the renewal situation is.

They have a shower (and a sink and a toilet) that is meant primarily for the girls. I asked to use it and was granted permission to do so.

One caveat that appears on MC's website is that the promoção to session before 6pm is Monday thru Friday only...

Not that I was looking for it - but he was standing there when we came in. Another time, I got several rounds after an amazing festa I had with 3 of his finest ladies. That was before the rash of rate hikes over the past year or so. It was also when I visited termas more frequently. I hardly go anymore. (What a great memory that festa was - 3 shades of mocha!)

Hasn't anyone else experienced getting a free drink or entrance (without a promotion)? Are things really that changed since a year or so ago?

But I like your way of thinking. OK, I'll buy that maybe a fellow monger ripped me off. I'm a lawyer, so I think like a lawyer. Who had access to the locker keys? Me, two hookers and the management (who has a master). Who is the likely suspect? For me, the girls. Yeah sure, they aren't allowed in the locker room. But I have been in that locker room without an attendant being present on more than one occasion. What's to stop a girl from going in, opening a locker with no on in there and taking money? You know what, it was R$300 at the end of the day. But, here's my deal with the management. You run a f-ing brothel. Your staff are hookers. Girls who have turned tricks on the street at some point in their "careers. " Don't get me wrong, some of these girls are outstanding and I love them. But, let's not lose focus on what we're dealing with at the end of the day. You're right, these sex tourists who walk into these places thinking that they're friends with management are delusional. This is a place of business. But, we're dealing with Brazil here. This is one of the most f-ed up countries I have ever visited and ever done business in.

Let's put this to bed and wait and see if anyone else complains about thefts in Rio. All I can say is that the management better make a trip to a German FKK. They could learn a lot about safety and security, not to mention learn how to run a business.

Like the sister site, Hotside, there doesn't appear to be any pricing info on the site. For independents like this, does the website owner dictate some price range that the girls must negotiate within, or how does that work?
