Was at Maribaya the other day, and have to confirm what others have posted – that the price has gone up form 400,000 to 450,000. Still not a bad deal, as I have always received excellent service there.

Actually, the only time I was disappointed was with a girl on the evening shift (After 5 PM), and wondered if any others have noticed any difference between the service comparing the day staff to the night staff?

Is anyone familiar with any mongering spots further south than Blok M?

I have heard rumors about a place (private house) near the Hotel Crystal in Cilandak, but have not been able to find it, even after asking taxi, bajaj and ojek drivers.

Yep, some years ago i got complacent. Picked up this Chinese lady (30 in age) from Sulawesi. Funny thing was I met her in the company of some folks in a bar in Jalat Jaksa and did not even bed her on the first night. Met her again the next night and took her back to my room at the Paragon. Good fun in bed, very gfe and after the deed I could not fall asleep. The call for prayer was going on and boy are they loud. I put in some earplugs so as to get some shut eye.

Woke up a few hours later to a lot of missing items. Two mobile phones (plus chargers, spare batteries), MP3 player, glasses, sun-glasses and a lot more. I still do not know how she managed to pass the reception desk without drawing attention. Hmmm. For the next week I kept reaching into my bag for something only to find that it was no longer there. Happily she did not find my stash of a couple of hundred dollars hidden in my luggage but she found just about everything else. At least my credit cards, drivers license and passport were in the safety deposit box at reception.

Met the "friends" (mainly expats and their girlfriends) again later that evening. It turned out that they were not her friends but just some folks she latched onto. I later remembered one of the girls in the bar/cafe where we had been drinking had had her mobile stolen.

The reality was that I had let my guard down. Had it been some professional from Blok M, I would have just gone short time with her. But in my beer sodden state, I had decided that because she "knew" the expats, did not ask for money, that she was a non-pro and therefore ok! The reality is that I had mistaken her profession - she was not a hooker but a thief!

Many professional hookers do not steal because they are afraid they will run into the angry customer sometime soon and they may want to continue plying their trade in the bar of their choice. But I would not go about leaving lots of temptation in their way.

Once had a girl take my aftershave ... and another took another girls earrings which had been left beside the bed. Both Blok M girls, but it was in the early days when I was new in town. Whilst I agree with the tone of your report, there are many establishments, especially in North Jakarta and Sanur's X houses where Bule's will not be serviced. This is at the discretion of the individual girl and whilst one will not, the one beside her may. Its just a quirk of the trade. Whilst in somewhere like Blok M or the 5 star hotel clubs, the reverse can apply.

I've been in the Jaksa St. area for several days now and had three p4p ladies. Is the suggestion that "most girls there are to be avoided" because of the sicknesses associated to drug usage ?

Bobisee, people here use TC for Today's Country or Tiara Ceria. I'm not sure which is right, but it's on the second floor of Lokasari Plaza in north Jakarta. It's a bar and brothel in a small shopping mall. It used to be absolutely fantastic in late afternoons/early evenings. You could do drop dead beautiful young stunners for next to nothing. From recent reports it's not nearly what it used to be.

About Jalan Jaksa, I stayed away because the women were ugly. And I never saw a lot of hookers there. The first time I was in Jakarta I stayed at the Sari Pan Pacific, around the corner, so did investigate the area. And as you suspect there are much better mongering areas in Jakarta. You'd be better off moving to Blok M to the south or the area around Jalan Mangga Besar to the north. Blok M is more English friendly, while the latter has a lot more hotties.

I suppose that guys who are "ugly, stinky or generally repulsive" were that way at all ages and stages of their lives. That's more about attitude and behavior than youth or physical appearance anyway. But - as an "already older" - speaking only for myself (of course), at 51 my sex drive hasn't slowed down - at least not yet.
