You've been hanging around the wrong crowd. I've lived there 5 years and I have never ran out of things to do. Of course, I've always had a normal girlfriend, nothing to do with pre-pagos, that might make a difference. There are a lot of beautiful places to go around Medellin, but most mongers don't have a clue.
There are cabins built into the rocks and woods with a marble type river beach, "playa de marmor" in Rio Claro with one of the prettiest rivers I have ever seen with a very strong current and it's very own cave to explore. This is located in Doradal, 10 minutes away from Escobar's old hacienda and a 3 hour drive from Medellin. There is el Salado in Envigado, 20 minutes from My place in La Mayorista with an "ecological" park and the old park with little rivers and "falls". They also have fishing ponds where you can get your own fish and have them clean and cooked, awesome!
Then there are the "fincas" in "tierra caliente" with jacuzzys where every girl in Medellin dreams of going since puberty, ussually that's where they all loose their "virginity" and cheat on their boyfriends. It's like "Vegas", what ever happens in "La finca" stays in "La Finca". Then there is El "peņol", and the many unknown local discos with special shows, and so on, and so on.
There is a whole different side to Medellin most mongers don't have always the time to enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestions Frank. It's funny you mention Rio Claro. I have been wanting to go there for a couple of years, but can't seem to find definitive information on it. I wasn't sure the best way to get there, and how to reserve a place.
I have been to the eco park at Envigado and liked it a lot. In fact I was "dating" a girl that works there. I didn't know about the fishing though.
I guess I'll have to get together and chat with you when I return June 30.

so these are raw pictures which is not the same as being shot in raw format. these were shot in jpeg format.
i am using a nikon d50 with a standard 18-55mm lens kit and also a fixed 50 mm lens for that "sharp image w/blury background" effect. i am also using a pivoting speed flash attached to the camera's hot shoe as well to "bounce" the light as oppose to direct light flash if i were using the built in pop up flash.
robert from casa blanca was nice enough to go along with my suggestion of an outdoor makeshift studio. so even though the couch shots look like they were shot during daylight, they actually were shot after dusk.
oh and as far as the sisters? man oh man! vanessa (the longer haired/taller one) is sexy as hell and a fantastic kisser and a tigress where it counts. didn't have a chance to try jennifer. my dumb ass should have done a double but vanessa was like the creature from alien and just smothers you with great face!

I'd prefer Medellin because Santo Domingo is too common a destination for so many people I know (even though I've never made it there myself) so I'd prefer something a little different. So I've been researching all 3 places on here. I'd like some suggestions, tips, help in making my final decision. Sell me Medellin. Why should I spend my birthday there?

You left alot of info out. Do you speak Spanish? Do you like quality or quantity? Do you need a beach?
You have to chose what you want and if it doesn't live up to your expectation chalk it up to experience.

First, thank you guys for all information and pics. Big big help. I'm so looking forward to my first trip to Colombia. I'll start by saying that I'm from Ecuador and live in the States. So I look hispanic and speak the language fluently.
I'm on a budget so I don't want to spend $50 or $60 per hrs. For a chica and also not looking to spend a lot of time in the dating scene though I hear it's easy if you speak the language. I want to be able to have as many chicas as possible. Man that sounds bad! Haha! I need info on strip clubs and casas that are bueno, bonito, y barato. (good, nice, and cheap)
I also want to go to pereira, manizales, and armenia. Which small town is the best for the chicas? Is there any town that is closer that has good, nice, and cheap services.

I lived in Pereira where I taught English about 4 years ago. I will be arriving in Medellin in July for a 3 month stay. I just need a update of this wonderful city that is full of the best women in the world in my humble opinion. I can always use a wingman. My Spanish is medium buy I am coming down to work it.

Since it'd be my birthday, I'll take either quality or quantity. I've been to Guatemala, Amsterdam, spent a LOT of time in Haiti. Never been to the DR. I'm located in South Florida, so I can catch a flight from Fort Lauderdale or Miami. I'm trying to do something cost-efficient. I can get a flight to Puerto Plata (and then head on over to Sosua) for around the same price as a flight to Medellin from Miami. My one concern, though, is the impending presidential election.
