Centro is a well known barrio. Lesser known barrios are places where social distancing and mask use is much less prevalent. So in summary I honestly believe you would have to self quarantine in addition to abstaining from sex to significantly decrease your virus risk. You are in Chicago so you may not have experienced a commercial airline flight since the virus broke out. Indoor restaurant dining is prohibited in many places and so is exiting your home, but on airline flights you are allowed to sit literally elbow-to-elbow with other people and take off your mask to eat or drink. If I understand your point correctly, you don't judge any of that to be as risky as engaging in Centro rat behavior. I respect your opinion, even as I confess that I do not have blue balls at this time.

They were easy for me, after an exploration trip, roll into BKK on the train, get on the skytrain or mrt to get home, jump out at Asoke / Nana, bite to eat, troll the BJ Bars, $30, then jump on the train again to go home.
