It might help a little bit if you wear a mask, abstain from kissing her, and try not to get your face too close to her face (maybe like a blow job bar in Bangkok!). But I doubt that's what most of my fellow hobbyists are doing. And if you're hanging out in a bar, casa, strip club with chicas, that exposes you to other people also with a high chance of having it.
Also it's relevant that the things you mention (public transportation, church services, shopping center visits) have been limited greatly in most parts of the USA I live in Chicago and the buses I see on the street have few and quite often, no passengers. S. California, which the OP mentioned has had strict lockdowns (and they have very little public transportation to begin with).
