People who have the driving licence to drive a motorbike in their own country are legally allowed to drive a motorbike in Thailand as long as they can show the International driving licence and their original driving licence.

I've been through numerous check points in Pattaya and each time I showed my International driving licence I could go through without a problem (but when I didn't have one I was fined).

Some believe its all about "bar girls vs freelancers" when, as you correctly stated, we all know cute thai girls can be found everywhere. At the end of the day, every monger has their own strategy, preferences, budgets, time constraints, and objectives after considering each option on the table.

None of us are new to Pattaya. So those trying to inform others on where to find the "the cheap beach road or cute thai 7/11 chick" don't realize that we already know they're out there.

Example, attached is a Insomnia freelancer I had back in 2017 multiple times but is no longer active (I have no idea what happened to her), I'm sure others had her back then as well. It illustrates the fact that yes, us mongers who enjoy go-go bars still understand there are cute freelancers in other places and we still actively look for them outside of go-gos.

She just got on stage. He tells the waitress he wants her. Waitress holds up 5 fingers. I couldn't hear clearly but I thought she said 500 baht for the girl to come down immediately. Waitress grabs girl and she comes down right away. Next thing I see is she has 5 shots in front of her so maybe the 5 fingers were he had to buy her 5 drinks to get her off stage. Then I hear the girl saying something about 500 baht to the guy. Really weird. Someone who knows the current Palace system let me know. Before if the girl had a drink she would dance 1 or 2 songs then whine at mama to get down.

Opium. I don't usually lose my cool in gogo bars but tonight I sort of did. One of the Tomboy waitresses I don't know comes up to me and says I need to order another drink, buy someone a LD or leave. I just ignored her. Grabbed my bill back and put it back in the cup. I said I'll buy LD's when I want to. Over comes running the head waitress. Apologizes to end to me and says sorry we they know I'm a very good customer. I can sit there and not order drinks as long as I want. Then she chews out the Tomboy waitress. I left anyways since my girl wasn't there. On the way out Tomboy says something nasty to me and I let her have it in Thai. Bet she didn't see that coming. On the bright side I finally saw the second decent looking model at Opium #326, albeit flat.

Sensations. Walked in for old times sake. Haven't been for a couple of years. Girls are not good and I'm being nice.

Pin Up - Loads of pretty girls tonight. Out of the top gogo bars this is the one where the girls seem to enjoy being there and having a good time. They're in general all happy and flirty. Problem is I know too many girls from the past who work here now and it's full on attack once they see me.

The iPhone girl, Since I was curious I wanted to know the story of this girl getting an iPhone 2 nights ago. She's pretty good looking too so it wasn't hard to decide to get her a LD. I asked if she knew this guy for a long time. She said she just met the guy a couple of nights earlier. Clearly this dude is infatuated with her. Nice slender happy girl I can see why he likes but a new iPhone? Cmon!

AGREED. Soi 6 is designed for 1,000 thb ST 1 Hour Upstairs. If guys want to take girls home before midnight, they should go somewhere else. The entire point of Soi 6 is having the rooms upstairs so girls can have multiple customers per night. I'm glad Nightwish and other bars make the barfine expensive before midnight as otherwise, all the hottest looking girls are gone.

ALSO; Stop paying Soi 6 girls double what the going rate is. The price is 1,000 thb to the girl, and 400 thb for the room upstairs for 1 hour.

A few girls have asked for more, but I always stand my ground at 1,000 thb and 90% of the girls accept it. I don't even ask the price before hand, I just hand them the 1,000 thb after and say thank you. The one time a girl demanded more, we involved the manager, and the manager told her if she wanted more than the going rate, she needed to tell me before going upstairs.

I've seen old school Chinese do this in H. K. , Mainland, one night I was sitting in the second road, in front several Chinese talking Mandarin could have been HK, this habit I've seen growing up being around my pop, Uncles, older cousins and brother, they see something they like immediately calls them regards of the routine they are suppose to follow. This moment while the girl was sitting with him started to inspect her like a race horse, checking out the teeth, face, ears as if the Asian guy was planning to marry her in a arrange marriage or something. I also mentioned this several months ago things to come at popular places particularly at XS, I started to go because it didn't seem any girls knew me not being cheap not much of a drinker but use the happy hour draft beer thing to sit and check things out. I got a good seat, next to me was another Asian guy who had ordered the draft. Once my draft came it seem every few minutes any waiter who walked by with a draft they lifted the bin and took a look what they seem to be doing was looking at the time the bin was cut. Within 15-20 minutes I counted 7 checks I noticed a female waiter gesture to the Asian guy if he wanted another the guy just wave her off a few minutes later she walked up said something to him he pay the bin and left. Since same owner XS for Pin up I expect the same but didn't noticed it. You don't want to say Thais are stupid but it is a very common thing what the tom boy did as if no one could understand what they are saying. This is all about loss of face they got to get the last word in why because this is Thailand!

I checked out Opium last Saturday got a good seat in the middle but of course eye is in the eyes of the beholder saw lots of girls set up like XS and Pin Up but nothing that stood out for me.

Several years I would say 10, my cousin brought a friend we grew up but there were lots of years in between in which I never spoke or saw but did know he had to retire early from his job due to obtaining a injury which put him on disability he was barely able to get around then. We worked him in slowly but everything he picked end up misses one from Soi 6 and another from a top GoGo from W. S. I couldn't understand why the misses, Soi 6 girl came to his room 15 minutes took off, same with the GoGo. I was curious so we made a visit to his hotel which was across from the International Hospital just to chat. The guy was a real heavy smoker the type that would fall asleep sitting with a cig in his mouth on the table was a basket of medicine minimum 20 bottles I told him he needed to put that stuff away it is scary. I later confirm from the GoGo girls that was the reason she left.

I am just trying to understand why people choose to do what they do. You say go-gos are good for tourists with limited time. So how does that work? How do go-gos save you time compared to Soi 6 or any short time bar, or any beer bar?

Over the past few weeks here I have heard many complaints about the quality of girls going down, about how difficult it is to find good looking girls in go-gos, how one can find good quality girls in any location, how you got to simp badly when visiting go-gos. With all this in mind, how does a go-go save you time?
