88 bar in fumin lu
Last time went to 88 bar, was approached by a hottie (WG) who danced by my side. After a few minutes, feeling my reluctance to take her home, she offered to take me to her friend, standing in front of a table. The table had a bucket on it, with about 10 cups of whisky inside, and the girls offered me some, even some curacao glass, and there was a nice fruit cup. The two girls were cute enough and offered 3some for total 500. But was in no intention of actually taking them back, simply enjoying the suggestive presence of them and the loud music. After maybe 15 minutes, I realised the bucket on the table maybe wasn't free? So I pretexted to go to the toilets and got out of the bar using the other alley. Do you think the bucket is actually paid by the bar for their WG, or is it some kind of setup? I always felt 88 bar was a legit place, but now I wonder. Ever heard of anyone having to pay this in this bar? The 88 I'm talking about is the famous one, located at Fumin road / Donghu road.

A Few Questions
Hoping that you guys can help. As you can see, I'm a senior member on this and the USA board. I've done some reading and I hope you can either confirm what I've found out or straighten me out.
I'll be in Shanghai next month for a couple of days. Probably just looking for the sauna experience. I'll be staying at the Courtyard Marriott on Dongfang Road. It looks like both Sacrosa and Bodi are within walking distance but I can't tell for sure. Any other local places that you can recommend?
Do these saunas work like the places in Thailand. Just walk in, pay and pick out the lady? I see some references to a shower first. Is there a lockable locker? I'm concerned about my wallet and passport.
Any possible problems with law enforcement?
Looks like the cost is between 670 and 880. Is that right? Pay up-front? What about tipping? I want to pay a fair price but not drive up the costs for the locals.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The closest sauna outside your hotel is in the Merrylin hotel, then 2 blocks over from that would be Sacrosa. I would not say that Bodi is within walking distance but it is a short taxi ride.
All are locker room, shower first then go pick. Pay afterward. No tipping. Same cost for all at these saunas except at Sacrosa there is a discount rate of 580 before 5pm.
Never had a problem with my belongings. Wallet is always in place and cash untouched.
Have fun.
Should not be any LE issues but raids happen.

I have been but can't remember this happening. However, nothing is free, is it?
500 RMB for a threesome. Sounds cheap.

A moments indulgence
I know this has almost nothing to do with the pursuit of pussy, but do have a question for some of the local Shanghai resident types or maybe a well informed traveler.
Does anyone know of a bar / restaurant that will broadcast the NFL games in Shangahi. I realize the "night" games start around 8am, just didn't know if any of the places opened on a regular basis to show these games. I was thinking about Malone's, but again wasn't sure if someone had a better suggestion.
You are now free to resume your regularly scheduled programming, and. Thanks!

Merrylin
Thanks. Merrylin looks like my best option with the recent remodeling. One post referred to dry rooms and wet rooms at Merrylin. How does that work?
Do you know if they take credit cards?
Thanks,
Jon.
There used to be a decent place in the Courtyard Marriott but I have not been there in years.
Not aymore since some time.
CYM recently opened inhouse MP with room service if you stay there.
Pricess are steep and the girls will start to upsell very quickly to go as far a as BJ and not evn fully naked.
Stay away from it!
DO not know what happens in the MP rooms if you opt for those rooms, but I fear th attitude is the same (true that in your hotel they go more daring in upselling as they "hold" you)
Better invest a 10 mintues walk and hed to Merryllin or the Baosan 7sauna and KTV) that is just behind CY (very reports in ehre about it, must be too much non-foreign oriented (hotel reception has a hard time to speak englis, to be honest)

Wet / dry

Thanks,
Jon.
It is one room with a connect bathing area (no toilet) behind a sliding glass door. A soapy padded table and a split seat for cleaning your parts in the bathing area.
No idea about credit cards.
I like the idea of the wet / dry action if this is your first time but I prefer Sacrosa in the afternoon for just getting down to business and couple pops. The soapy just wastes time for me.

Visit to Shanghai
Brothers.
I plan to make a trip down to Shanghai later this week. I am an active member in Beijing, and would like to get together with some of the Shanghai brothers while I am in town. Maybe organize a bar crawl. Please send me a PM if you are interested in gettting together and we can make some plans.

Bodi Boutique Hotel
Ok, I'm looking for a hotel in Shanghai in the Pudong area and found what appears to be a great deal for a room at the Bodi hotel (1245 Longyang Road Pudong). Roughly $65 USD per night. Now, as far as I can tell this is also where the Bodi sauna is.
My questions
- Am I correct about the sauna location? Or have I mixed something up?
- Has anyone stayed at the Bodi hotel? Is it worth $65 a night (or more)?
Thanks in advance!

I have not stayed there but Trip Adviser reviews are generally positive except for the location being less than convenient.

Not even a hint or offer of anything fun! The spa in the adjacent building next door was pretty run down and the selection of girls poor as I recall (some time ago). Many better alternatives nearby as the brothers have noted.

My ATF@Bodi tells me that the rooms in Bodi are the bomb.
I have yet to try it myself but I have accidentally ventured upstairs to the rooms before during my first trip trying to find the sauna.
@Bionicman. You will want to make sure you find the entrance to the sauna outside the hotel main entrance.

Thanks guys, I'm thinking about going ahead and booking the room there. Not too worried about location, going to be wandering around town all day for the most part so location isn't critical unless it's out in the boonies.
Close to Longyang Subway station too, so easy to get to / from airport. At $65 a night it seems like a fantastic deal. Might as well spend the savings at the sauna.
