You said in one of your posts you were contemplating coming to Medellin versus Tijuana. The differences are like night and day between the two venues, and hands down Medellin has Tijuana beat, and I live two hours from there, but it's such a shithole I hardly visit anymore, albeit the food is great.

It's only a 3 day trip and it says a 2 week quarantine is required, I'm assuming they don't hold you past your departure date correct? I don't mind being quarantined to my apartment for 3 days as all I was doing was coming to fuck and eat anyway. Assuming you're still allowed to stay in your apartment LOL.

Today's news offered conflicting reports about testing. If I were a betting person, I'd bet that a test requirement will soon be necessary if not already in effect now. Note that the ICU capacity in Medellin is over 80% and worse in Bogota, I think. This is not a good time to travel. Pico why cedula is still in effect and my guess is that weekend lockdowns will continue. Plus, your health! Typically, the government doesn't announce measures until the last minute making planning futile. The New Year's lockdown was extended from 1 day to 2.5 days the day before the lockdown.

However, TODAY, January 4, Spirit told me something different than they did 12 hours ago. Now, they have been notified a negative test result is "required" - if you do not have one, you can enter but will be "required" to quarantine for 14 days. I would assume being in a hotel would be worse, for this, in terms of them caring more about you following the rules. Even the known gringo short-time apartments might be more inclined to follow the rules, in this case. Nonetheless, you can get a PCR in Colombia, and with a negative result, your quarantine restriction is negated. I'm assuming this would be far more cost-effective, and save a hell of a lot of time and stress, prior to leaving (Edit: 220.000 COP for a 48-72hr PCR test result + 13.000 domicilio fee to do it in your apt/hotel, Mo-Th. +573154677121 on WhatsApp). As a tip, I would not carry my passport anywhere. If you are stopped by police, and have done nothing wrong, say you arrived Jan 1 or Dec 20, or whatever you want. This is not coming from a lawyer, just my opinion of what I would/will do.

Now, given we are talking about Colombia and there seems to be some ambiguity, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if I was waved through at customs or told I couldn't enter the country.

The police close down all the bars between midnight and 1 AM. So it then goes quiet. In normal times it's very noisy until between 3 and 4 AM.

US GOV website and the Colombia immigration website nothing said about it. I'm really interested to hear a from someone going through in the next few days to see what's actually going on.

I talk to normal girlfriends that I have had for years and often their profile pic disappears. 2. Sometimes chicks tell me they can not see my picture and I have not touched anything. 3. When you add someone you can see their profile pic without them having to even have your number.

Thanks for the tip on the PCR-test Slapshot, I'm going to need a test for re-entry into Europe it seems. My trip is coming to a close, I'll be heading home on the 6th. The curfews during Christmas and New Years was a pain in the ass to be honest. I managed to have some repeats from SA come over some of the days, so it wasnt a complete loss for me, but I definitely look forward to doing this whole thing again with vaccines in the population.

Good job on Catsjustwantfun BTW, she's a looker. As soon as the holidays were over my contact list was jumping, so the girls probably spent all their cash on gifts, food, booze and presents, and now they need to refill. I've scheduled morning and evening encounters for all of my remaining days, minus tonight. I thought I'd do a Lleras walkabout in the evening, to get that experience in as well before I leave.

It's been a great trip, and I'll definitely be coming back after beefing up my Spanish. The one thing that caught me off guard was the coffee situation. I'm in Colombia, and restaurants and coffee shops are trying to serve me Americanos? I expect that in Thailand, but I wasn't prepared for it to be impossible to get properly brewed coffee in Colombia. Fortunately all the Airbnb's seem to be stocked with a coffee machine, but it felt stupid having to suck down 3 cups of coffee before heading out to breakfast.
