I was in Pattaya the first part of Feb . and stoppe din to Baccara. It looks new and seems to be a clean place. Again s, same set up as in BKK with glass sealing. Place is smaller that BKK but the help didn't seem as pushy as they are in BKk. Some cute girls like most places, but not all wil fit the bill. It is on walking street on the ocean side. Girls seemed friendly when I was in there. Didn't to about BF or anything so no knowledge about that.

However.... like many people, my first trip I hated it, second trip hated it, third trip was OK, fourth trip was a little better, fifth trip a little better etc...
Pattaya it TOO BIG to see or do or learn in even 20 trips, and it is not like BKK at all. You need to learn the local layout and scene before you can appreciate or form an opinion.
And with due respect... your story sure sounds like you spent a lot of time on Beach Road... um... wow you looked at all the high end locations.... There surely is no better talent / service other then Beach Road.
Even if you did venture to other locations I'm sure you missed 98% of what Pattaya has to offer.

Yesterday in Pattaya walking around I saw about two girls who were 9s. Both were with a guy though.

Dear Mr. Bloke,
When I was very young, I really believed my life was over at 30! Sixty and having sex. How disgusting! Now I am 67, a bit overweight, bald and still having a lot of fun. Most of my friends, even back home, are much younger than I am and they like it that way. I am lucky, that they are not as prejudiced, as I used to be in my younger days.

6. However all the above was mitigated by a girl I met on my last night just as I was really abandoning all hope. Walking down Beach Road I started chatting to a reasonable looking girl. Not young but not old (29 I found out), always ask how long she has been in Pattaya (so as to determine attitude, ie the shorter the better) turns out 1 month and she hated the place. Then I ask about family, where from etc (to determine motivation). Seems she has a daughter back home in Isaan somewhere that she is devoted to and is only doing it for her, calls back every night, wants to earn enough to support her etc. Seemed reasonable enough plus she was not in your face like many a Thai but rather a shy, introverted type which I thought must be at odds with her chosen way to earn a wage.
Anyway I ask her how much and she didn't really seem to know so I took her back to my hotel, would decide later whether long or short time. After she relaxed she just wouldn't let me sleep, was permanently wet and well really made up for the fact I was in such a shitty town. We had breakfast together, said our goodbyes and I got a taxi to the airport and am now elsewhere in Asia and happy to be away from Pattaya. What a dump.[/QUOTE]

Just to add my 2 cents to the chorus... I think it a bit odd that no one finds it offensive that Japanese, Indian and Arab tourists are the objection (not just "coach loads of tourists"). Should the foreigners visiting your favorite part of Thailand be from your country, wherever that is? I don't need to start a flame war here, but the implicit racism should not be left unnoticed.

At least you gave it a try and now you're not left wondering 'what if'.
Just to follow up what I wrote earlier and to banish any misconceptions people have about my observations:
1. I am not ageist, I would criticise younger people who couldn't be bothered to make the slightest effort in terms of personal hygiene and appearance and generally are an eyesore to anyone who is unfortunate enough to pass by...
2. Japanese, Indian and Arab tourists help the reader understand the cultural nuances at work when they are in an alien environment and interact with the local populations. For example a mass of Japanese following a tour guide with a flag...get the picture? General Arab attitudes towards females...comprendez?
3. Actually it is my second time to Pattaya, was there once a few years back but with a mixed group m/f and there for other reasons than mogering (even though that was also done) so I can compare then and now. Now is simply worse than then but as one poster suggested, there is Jomtien and around which I have not been to...I have been as far north as Mae Sai and south to Songklah so I have an idea of the real Thaialand. For the beach Hua Hin in retrospect is probably more my bag so to speak
Bloke, you're not the first and you won't be the last person to offer up his disdain for Pattaya and even though you went out of your way to be offensive, you made some good points in your post. Although unlikely to happen anytime soon, I can’t imagine what the place would be like if someone ever got around to cleansing Pattaya of its unsightly expat and tourist population.

Bloke, I'm sure there are quite a few ISG members that agree with you to some extent. But as Tansak says, you must visit Pattaya a number of times before you can really say you know it well enough to truly pass judgment.
It's my opinion that if you have a firm grasp of working Thai women, with a little effort you could find a fun, nice-looking woman in Pattaya. Granted, she will know most of the tricks of her trade, but that would not be an issue if you set her straight from the get go.
When not searching for [i]Khun Suai Mak,[/i] in the morning hours, one can hang out with the old guys down at the beach!
Anyone know of a private charter from BKK to Pattaya. Ive been trying to find one that includes a few girls, but I am coming up dry. I know its Thailand, so there has to be something of this nature.
Any info is appreciated.

Maybe for some there is no big difference.
Japanese don't come in bigger groups. I would even say that they are either rare in Pattaya. In Bangkok you can find more Japanese Tourists.
