Crimea has always been Russian and the Crimean people voted to join Russia. I thought you folks in the collective west believe in democracy? Or do you only accept referendums that you yourself conduct and accepts the results you like, like the one in Kosovo?
This is pure Russian propaganda and disinformation. The history of Crimea is a complex; however, a unifying theme has been Russian imperialism attempting to gain total control over the last 250 years. Crimea was only demoted to an oblast in 1945 following the ethnic cleansing (by the Russians) of the Crimean Tatars in 1945. The Russians have wanted Crimea for centuries, but it has never been Russian.

As well,
Field Marshal Alexander Suvorov crossed the Swiss Alps between September 11 and October 7, 1799. This was part of his Swiss campaign during the War of the Second Coalition, where his Russo-Austrian forces attempted to drive the French out of Switzerland. His army faced extreme hardships, including fierce battles and treacherous terrain, but managed to escape encirclement.

At this time, when USSR split, Putin was only a nothing in KGB. When Russians and Ukrainians are brothers with so many mixed families, Russians should never follow such criminal dictator. Same for Israel with Netanyahou and USA with Trump.

Putin is kind of Staline hidden son and Russians are just pieces of meat for him. Russians would live more free and better without such criminal dictator.

Crimea has a long history of being anything but Russian. Moscow's shameless and brutal imperialism doesn't give Russia right to anything but contempt.
If you want to talk history you're obligated to start with saying that Karelia belongs to Finland and how Russia started wars and murderous war crimes to steal Karelia from Finland. Russia also need to give up Kaliningrad since it's historically not a Russian territory.

Von Bismarck Quotes
Do not expect that once taking advantage of Russia's weakness, you will receive dividends forever. Russian has always come for their money. And when they come. Do not rely on an agreement signed by you, you are supposed to justify. They are not worth the paper it is written. Therefore, with the Russian is to play fair, or do not play.
The secret of politics? Make a good treaty with Russia.
Even the most favorable outcome of the war will never lead to the decomposition of the main forces of Russia, which is based on millions of Russian. The latter, even if they break up international treaties, just as quickly re-connect with each other, like pieces of a particle of mercury.

Shit Getting Hot
Ukraine still winning? Obviously, the whole country will be taken.

There would have been no war in Ukraine if the USA kept its word about not moving NATO to the East. I get Trump's frustration with Putin but also why Putin and Russia cannot trust Trump. It is not Trump, but the fact that Trump will not be in office in 2029. What happens then? We have seen Russia make a deal with one American administration just to have another one come in and nix the plan later.
Kamala bragged about brining Ukraine into NATO right before the war. Does anyone believe she or any of the other Democrats would not do the exact same thing once Trump is out of office? Virutally all Democrats want Ukraine in NATO, and the Russians know it.

The Russians are running of missiles. The Russians are running out of drones. The Russians are fighting with shovels. Putin is gravely ill. Crimea will be retaken. The Russians are bombing the ZNPP. The Russians blew up Nordstream. Russia has lost over a million soldiers.

Russia is broke, where did you get that from? Even after paying for a war now for several years, Russia's debt to GDP ratio was around 20 to 25%, unlike the 120% for the US or circa 90% for the Euro area. Russia is far from broke.
Putin was quite clear; you put Nato in my backyard and I am going to respond. So he responded.
History is a great teacher, the Europeans / Nato should have known better than to bait the bear!

The Azov brigades and their backers in the Ukrainian establishment may disagree.
Western media was extensively reporting the far right threat from Ukraine all the way up to the point where they stopped as Europe suddenly became Ukraines ally in the war against Russia. Western media is morally bankrupt, why would you believe anything that comes from them over the Russians. Putin may only give you half the truth, but its more than you will get from the bastions of free speech in the West.
