Again, Examples of New Zealand, Australia, SE Asia, etc show that they work when enforced or if the specific population complies. And for many nations, lock downs worked for several months until holiday season. I have to agree with Sirioja here. Here the Swiss government attempted to find a person without a hearing to determine the validity of the fine. Moreover, the owner of the car is not responsible if the owner of the car was not properly served with a violation and moreover it violates due process to punish a person who was not the person who committed the infraction. The underlying statute should be challenged as violating the Swiss constitution and hopefully it can be struck down and Switzerland forced to hold hearings and provide appeals prior to fining anyone. The confiscation of the radar detector also bring up a double jeopardy defense since confiscation amounts to a de facto fine at least the value of the radar detector and therefore to add an additional punishment basically is unlawful since the driver is punished twice for the same offense. Hopefully the Swiss constitution has a double jeopardy prohibition in it. Also they need to provide interpreters at all court hearings for people who don't speak the language of that canton.

Moreover if they are imprisoning a person they need to provide an appointed attorney free of charge.

Possession of radar detector is a separate offence from speeding, so no double jeopardy.

I don't believe that they didn't speak to him in French. Every Swiss learns at minimum 2 foreign languages starting with primary school. I don't believe in general what he is saying because so many of his posts on other topics that can be verified were all false. Like being stronger and fitter than professional athletes with a 5 million EUR salary.

The Moderna vaccine that is about to be delivered to UK comes from production plants in France, Switzerland and Spain. EU has exported around 80 million doses, US none, UK none. Companies committed to make 'every effort' to honour the contracts although they knew all along they could never get anywhere close to the volumes they agreed to provide. In fact, now they are asking for permission to open new production plants and help from other pharma companies.

Travel from "red" countries to the UK (USA is currently a red country) would involve a ten day quarantine plus paying over £1,700 for a government designated hotel to quarantine in.

However May 17th things will change. But to what extent we don't know other than there will be a few "green" countries which won't involve quarantine when arriving in the UK.

I was just looking at the mutation rates on John Hopkins website yesterday and it took only 11 months for a strain of covid to reach 34 mutations in the spike protein alone! That was a record mutating speed however. The average is only about 15 mutations on the spike in 12 months. But it is picking up pace in places like India and Africa now as well. Which will counteract the vaccination pace.

Also, as soon you get vaccinated people, the only thing that will happen is that virus strains not affected by the vaccine will take over fully. It will seem like it protects to some degree, but we are really just talking about different curves for different mutation strains.
