Definitely don't recommend especially at midnight, it was a warzone with no street lights, bonfires and tear gas getting shot every 30 seconds.

Or you could take a cab to the lagoon right near Cali. There's an airbnb experience that will take you there and feed you for 9 bucks.

I get it. The world is fucked up. I used to live in Nairobi and trust me this guy is still living better than anyone in Kibera (a notorious slum in Kenya) I got a call from a girl in the DR who was going to school to be a Kindergarten teacher. She recently got evicted from her home (she has a small son too). She's a sweet girl and she didn't ask me for money (nor would I send it) but I didn't go in the DR thread and put out the bat signal to have mongers give her money.

That brings up another point when you first mentioned the guy I imagined a slick fixer who knew half the town and could get you anything you wanted. But as you say now he's a older down on his luck guy who does have a decent command of english. The issue I have with this town in general is the lack of tourist accommodation. Tourism is almost free money sex tourism is basically people just throwing wallets in the streets. Guys want safe and decent accommodations and access to beautiful women. Have you even asked Jesus would he want to take a multiday trip to the other side of the country with some sext tourist that he doesn't know?

Jesus could easily go San Nicholas Bar 20 and all the casas and get pictures and numbers and charge the girls to send their information to guys. He could even get a paypal because I know it works in Colombia and ask for a propina to get access to girls that he knows. That would be a lot better than trying to wait in another room while you handle business with the low bottom skank that he managed to drag in.

It's not just him but it's the mentality of the whole town. I was going to post in the DR section on why you wouldn't want to come to Cali at least. In the DR you get bombarded with daily calls from chicks trying to make money. They will happily send a relative if that's what it takes to keep you. Here not so much. Even low bottom streetwalkers aren't aggressive here. In the DR I never stepped foot in a Casa here it's hard to get takeout and it's almost impossible to cut out the middleman.

You'd think that if Medellin was an exceptional pussy town then Cali can't be that bad but the ability of being able to pick up non pros like you can in the DR and other places is severely lacking. If you really want to help out your buddy tell him to try to be a one stop shop for tourists he should be able to hook guy up with Phone plans, Visa extentions places to eat and yes pussy. But that will require a lot of time and footwork. The waiting in a cab for the girl to finish is extremely annoying.
