I cannot seem to find anyone who has done this recently, so I am taking the chance of being publicly ridiculed here on the forum. Oh well.

I have found an attractive 25 year old woman, apparently a semi pro, on Thai friendly who is willing to be my guide and bed mate for a week. I have done this before, but it was in 2015, and times (and prices) have changed. In 2015, I gave the young lady something like 3500 baht a day.

In reality, since I am going to be in BKK for work, the young lady will have most of the daytime off except for a couple of trips like to see the Sleeping Buddha or maybe a temple or boat ride. And, since I like to mix things up, she will not be burdened with having to have sex with me more than once or twice daily. OK, twice or three times.

What is a reasonable amount of money to pay her for her guiding (and other) services? I want to be fair, but I do not want to be fleeced. Thanks, F.

You won't get a professional Nana dancer for that kind of money (she can get that much for and ST and do several per night), but for an average looking semi-pro in her 30's, that should be enough, especially if you have some chemistry. Of course, if you're really old and going for a great looker in her 20's, it might cost you more.

I think these sorts of extended arrangements with working girls are mostly the thing of the past (even a simple LT is not so common). Back before 2010 or so, almost any working girl was really eager for a multi-day arrangement (a working vacation with guaranteed income and sponsor potential! Alas, times have changed, and while it's apparently still possible, it's no longer easy to arrange, or great value for money. Personally, beyond an hour or two of sex, I have no interest in staying with a girl who'd rather be elsewhere and shows it.

" he started this soon after he bought his first bar, Midnight. It was the beginning of Cowboy being a great destination. Before he bought it. Midnight was a great bar. BF was 500 and that included use of the ST rooms upstairs. Gals wanted 1 k ST and all drinks, LDs included, were 100 Baht. Mark, the manager had the gals trained well. You could take one upstairs and then 30 min later another and not a word of displeasure from the 1st. I must have done 20 plus gals out of that bar over a few years period. Also used to let us have private parties upstairs, which was a full gogo room with a stage. They'd provide a bartender and we'd barfine a bunch of gals, have full use of the ST rooms, and have fun. Crazy fun. And they did not charge a thing for it. We'd normally have 5 or 6 guys in for the party. Those were good times. Probably easy for you to see why GoGos hold no thrill for me today.

You like the girl and as long as she she shows you a good time, consider the money well spent.

Yes, a long time Bangkok visitor friend of mine from the USA came back about 4 years ago after being absent for few years and one of the first places he wanted to go was Midnight. He was all excited when he saw the hot, non-barfineable "Coyotes" standing outside the bar and dragging us in. I did not tell him what I already knew would be the case on the hope that it wouldn't be as bad as I thought and, who knows, maybe his experienced input would change the outcome.

Nope. All the girl worth looking at, in fact virtually all the girls period, were working outside and were hired only to drag customers inside to buy a drink. There was not a girl inside the bar other than the servers and as soon as the hot "Coyote" got her overpriced Lady Drink she was gone with the wind right back outside to drag in the next sucker. My friend could not believe how much the entire soi had deteriorated as a fun and rewarding P4P destination worth the money.

I would add another 2 of my own favorites that have fallen by the wayside, Bangkok Beat and New Wave. Perhaps it is just the aging process that brings on nostalgia for the past, that said despite what's gone and the present formula driven business models if you follow a path less travelled when least expected there are still memorable experiences to be had in Bangkok.

After checking it's not a ladyboy bar, I went inside and a bit surprised there were only a couple of customers inside. Some of the dancers are really hot, I got a lady drink for the one I saw at the entrance and she was dirty dancing on my lap soon enough.

But 280 bt for a lady drink is a bit steep, and when I asked how much was bar fine (more out of curiosity at this early stage) she said she only drinks and all of the other dancers were the same. Then she pointed to only one girl who could be barfined and tbh, I'm not sure she was a girl.

I won't be going back.

Midnight used to be a fun bar prior to the Arab, but I think it was also the first bar on Soi Cowboy to have a few lady boys. And that was also prior to the Arab.

Hey guys, in Nana Plaza, when you first walk into the plaza, what's the name of the first bar to the left on the ground level? (not big dogs bar, I mean the one actually inside nana plaza). I think the one to the right of it is Bunnies, but I forget the name of the first bar there to the left. Thanks in advance.

I hate the ID checking at the front of Nana. I view it as an unwarranted incursion, an affront, and more importantly it is a sign that slowly, very slowly, a transformation of our adult, no holds barred playground known as LOS is being redesigned into an antiseptic, politically correct, no sex shadow of its former self.

Look at recent changes:

1. American Bar / Food Chain Hooters opens up across from Nana competing with all the old school hostess bars on Soi 4 (no barfines at Hooters / just American BS with Thai girls) - unbelievable a few years ago. "Somebody give me a cheeseburger." Know where that quote comes from? I will give you a hint: "Living in the USA"
2. No barfine Go Go girls in Go Go's. Again unbelievable a few years ago.
3. Now, no girls under 20 allowed in NANA Go Go's ? and cops stationed permanently at the front door to check. What the fuck! And what's wrong with an 18 year old? Some of my best girls were 18/19 years old.

All these changes are ominous and portend no good. OK. I have said what I wanted to say. It's now time to take a taxi over to Mini's new apartment. I havn't seen her new place since I arrived.
