Seems to be ingrained in Thai culture, so does not really mean a particular girl is so bad. They are all unreliable in the extreme, and seem to feel the need to make huge bullshit on this topic! Even have seen my GF telling her own brother complete bullshit on the phone about being in a taxi on the way there, and she is normally quite an honest type. They just see it as exaggeration.

So I think many Thai girls will be at least 1 hour late. 30 mins is a tough number for girls to meet, but maybe good advice anyway, as long as they know you won't wait longer. Otherwise the guy will be blamed for not being there. LOL

For all of us who have been here long enough or know enough girls we unfortunately know a favorite girl or two who has succumb to a motorcycle accident. It's an unfortunate pitfall to befriending girls in this industry. If not killed, almost every girl has battle scars from falling off a motorbike. Like Syzy said, look at the state of some of them when they leave the bar.

And in measuring how much we want them by how long we are willing to wait for them before putting our foot down and saying That's It, I'm Out Of Here.

Many is the time I will be waiting at a designated spot in a shopping mall, getting those "I am stuck in traffic but almost there, honey" Line messages for AN HOUR later than the already late time, yet the instant I Line back that I think this is a bad time to meet, maybe see you another day, she will miraculously appear and catch me at the exit, from INSIDE the mall! I am convinced they hide behind a potted plant or pillar to keep an eye on me and see just how long before I get to the breaking point and bail.

Also, as long as they keep telling you, "I am on the way, be there soon", that means you can't chat up another girl on the spot, risk getting caught exchanging Line info and so on. I have one girl who rides the bus from Korat to spend the night with me in Bkk and one time early on she said she would be on her way at 9 am (roughly a 3-4 hour ride, depending on traffic). At 5 pm, after several Line messages about how she was on her way, she finally came clean about not having left Korat yet because she had a meeting at work. True or not, I really don't care what is detaining them, just don't BS me about being on the way. Meanwhile, she knew I could not make another date with another girl for that night as long as she did not admit she had not even left Korat as late as 6 pm that night.

Believe it or not, I still see that girl every now and then because I love to fuck her and she gives me an outstanding full and complere blowjob. But the new rules of engagement are very strict; I don't commit or even comment on meeting her until she is ALREADY near me in Bkk. I've had girls in Colombia who were late more than an hour, on a regular basis. Then again, the traffic there can horrendous at times.

However, I find that it's the young girls under 30 who show up late, if I were to want girls over 30 to show up, they are more dependable. In my experience, out of Colombian, Thai and Indonesia, the Thai girls have been more likely to be on time. I've probably spent about 3 years of my life in Thailand because I go there often. However, I have never actually lived in Thailand so I have had far less occasions where I have called girls and asked them to come over. I prefer going to a bar and meeting them in Thailand since it's just so easy. Since I stay mainly in Indonesia and it's not as easy to go pick up a girl any hour of the day like it is in Thailand, I have called many more girls come to my place. I have had multiple Indonesian girls who were late more than an hour and sometimes multiple hours. If I ask an Indo girl to arrive at 9 pm, I assume they will arrive between 10:30 and 11 pm. Normally they go radio silent until they send a text saying there is traffic. I always just assume that is the moment they had just gotten in a taxi. They will normally show up about a half hour after that. There are occasions where I have a strict timeframe where I need the girl to be on time, and for those occasions I make sure to invite a girl I know I can trust to be on time. The problem is that the hottest ones are normally undependable, so if I want the guarantee of them being on time, I have to sacrifice hotness. One Indonesian girl was late 5 hours for our first date. Haha. She was supposed to meet me at 3 pm to see a movie, but she showed up at my place at 8 pm. In the past when I used to do online dating, 60% or so were more or less on time (within 15 min), at least if you're meeting in an easy-to-find place (say, next to a BTS station in Bangkok). About 20% take an hour or so, but in that case the date usually goes poorly, since I hate waiting and it all starts with negative points (it would take someone exceptionally interesting to fix it at that point, and most Thai girls are not). About 10% flake out completely, but I never stayed around for 2 h to find out if they'd eventually show up.

As for the vague "on the way" updates, I think if you call them, they're more likely to provide a bullshit answer (avoiding direct confrontation). If you send a "where are you?" Line message, they will either tell you, or delay replying. If they reply 10 min later, you should take a hint and leave.

One good approach is to meet close to where you're staying and ask them to send you a message when they're almost there...

All women are late. If its a new one, I give them an hour then go about my business. If its an old one, I may or my not cut her a break. If its my girlfriend in the States, I just suck it up.

Is answered by "in taxi on the way? Where have you got to, can't be answered because actually still not in taxi. Can I talk to the taxi driver to see how far you have got to go, since you seem to have no clue where you are? Absolutely not!

I almost always ask them to send a message when very nearly there, but percentage that do it is low. Get message long before and maybe another when have already arrived.

I guess there have been girls only 20 to 30 mins late. Others usually over 1 hour late. Others, who knows if they ever would have arrived? One of them claimed to be sick while in taxi and went home, but I got no message at the time. Her migraine was too severe to notify me of non arrival. LOL Probably complete and total bullshit, but you never know for sure.

Fortunately not too many no shows. If an important girl is very late, better than nothing since best girls can disappear completely very easily.

Times for social events / gatherings / meetings, etc in said cultures are merely very general approximations of the actual time anyone will physically appear.

For e. G. If a party is announced / starting t to begin at 8 pm, there will not be a single person there until 9 pm at the earliest.

Same things with a date unless you are attending something that requires being there at a specific timeframe (like a play, sold out movie, etc).

Payment up front for the girl is to protect them from being ripped off by their customer. No proof but I suspect some gogo bars also take a portion of the girl's ST or LT fee. You're always free to make arrangements with a girl to meet you on their days off. That's what I do so I save on the barfine.

The mamasan always asks the girl if it's ok for me to pay her directly after we finish in my hotel, and every time the girl has said that it was ok. Not once have they not allowed the girl to go with me. I do normally buy a lot of drinks in the bar though, so I think the girls feel safer that they will receive their money considering I was willing to spend a lot on drinks already. If there ever comes a time when the girl refuses to go with me unless I pay up front to the mamasan first, I would refuse and go find a different girl in a different bar.

Back in Bangkok this week, my second visit, was here 2 years ago. I'm staying near Soi Cowboy and checked out Baccara for the first time, I'm from the US.
