After reading this report I decided to drop by and check it out, since I have been in VT for a few days now on business. I took a taxi there from my hotel and told the driver how to get there. Its good that you are able to talk them down a bit on price, as you know those prices are very inflated. Its hard to be level-headed especially when your little head is doing all thinking. I was like you when I first came to Asia, if asked for the money upfront, I wouldn't complain too much and just give in, but usually that lead to poor or no service at all. You really gotta try to stick to your guns and walk out if they insist on the money upfront, nothing good for you can come of give them the money first.
