Prostitution is NOT Legal in NZ just decriminilised
Kabon et all. Prostitution has been decriminisied which is not quite the same thing as legal. From a legal point of view it is neither legal or illegal so it seems to be in a bit of a grey area, except you can't be done of doing it, not that many very done before the law was changed.
Some had said that it has increased the number of working girls but I have not seem any evidence of that particularly with street walkers, who in Auckland anyway seem to have deminished.
I did Try Massage 8 in New Lynn several years ago and it was a bit tacky then but massage was about $40.00 and you negotiated extras with the ladies. I had some nice sessions there with some lovely Chinese Ladies. It was at the lower end of the scale.
I didn't like Salon 28 or Salon 33 (in Panmure) system of flashing the girls in front of you for several seconds. I prefer more time to talk with the girls. But both were set up before the law change so they were massage places, even though you could get extras by negotiating with the girls. Now it is an upfront (large) fee like $180.00.
The owners are two sisters Lucy & Lilly, and there was a front page article in the NZ Herald several years back with a picture of Lucy back on in front of her Salon 45 (as it was then) and she said you couldn't get sex at her place. I had proved her wrong as you were able to do so as I did on several ocasions
Lucy came to NZ with her husband, divorced him, married a rich older Kiwi guy who gave her the money to set up Salon 45, then left her husband. She is now back with her Kiwi husband. At least she was the last time I went to 28 about 4 years ago.
I did once give both of them a massage. Lucy is the more attractive and has almost flawless skin, and a nice body. Unfortunately both kept their underwear on.
