Charging 4000 -5000 is not stupid to them, in fact its clever cos its easier to come down in price that to go up and there are rich people who dont mind paying that much. Some call girls charge as much as 10,000 or more but these normally target diplomats and big businessmen. Also when you say 'some fools actually pay' does that mean there are other fools who dont?

go to the well known places like Pavement, Madhouse, Simmers etc.! Or, even better, ask a nice girl you met in a restaurant, a shop or on the street! Brother, don't forget virtually all of them are available and all of them would be most pleased to accept your kind offer!

But again, personally I would not take a girl to a safari! It's getting too expensive and the cuty might have sky high expections in terms of a relationship then! Believe you me, I know what I am talking about! :)

Junior[/QUOTE]Where is your safari starting? If Nairobi or Mombassa, you can meet women who will be only too happy to go with you. If it is smaller town, you would likely have fewer options. I agree with you that you are not going to find them while you are on safari because they cannot afford to go on safari, or because they are working for the safari company. Grab 1 before you leave. I agree with others though that you may then set very high expectations (which you could BS her with to stay out of LT commitment).

Will arrive in Nairobi July 9. Anyone interested in having a beer and check out the fun? 45 and european.

I would definitely not say that girls in Ghana are better than girls in Kenya (or vice versa)! It all depends on the cuty you pick up and it's certainly a matter of good luck as well. In both countries I had excellent experiences and embarrassing flops too! :)

Rates for ST approx 1000 - 1500 KHS, for LT approx 2000 - 2500. Make sure that you do not overpay!

As a GF hotel I would highly recommend Terminal Hotel. Great location and a fair price!

Regarding security: do not worry all too much, simply take the same precautions as in Accra!

I would add that Accra is much safer than Nairobi but simply compare by reading the Rough/Lonely Planet guides. Accra may be getting more dangerous but from my 3 years in Accra and what I've read about Nairobi (confession: haven't been there yet) that Accra is safer although these things are always changing.

Even though Medellin can't hold a candle to Nairobi, I will finish my Medellin report before reporting about my experiences in Nairobi...

If you are not very stupid it is easy to tell which ones are scamming and just forget them. To me Afro is a way of meeting somewhat more normal girls than the ones we can pick up easy. That is, no p4p but maybe some actual love.

I used to browse and email a lot of girls so I have a list of maybe 5 goodlooking girls waiting for my arrival. 2 of them will not answer my calls when I am there. One will not match my linkings and that leaves me with the choice of two lovely ladys that are happy to see me. To me that is OK but if one onely wants to get laid, go to madhouse or Simmers and pick up what you like.

Just returned from Nairobi. Had a great time there, also thanks to AfroIntro.

Used AI to meet really hot girls (20-25 and the best looking ones). Wanted some real hunting (and not only P4P) and some local contacts which always can bring you to places that you do not go from the tour guide. My lesson learned: do not start to early. 2 weeks is enough. What is the use of mailing for months? Have a few phone numbers after one or two mails and go there and meet with them. I had a great time and met a few nice ones.

Nightlife:
Nairobia is quite big, so prepare for some 20-30 minutes taxi drives to go to areas like Westlands.
In Westlands: had great times at Gypsies (a bar cum restaurant cum dance club). It starts around 10 to become full. Nice place with local and expat crowd. WG's are there too (like everywhere in Nairobi).

Was in Casablanca too a nice lounge bar cum dance club. Stylish place.

Many WG's (but also non working locals) go to Black Diamond (center) after they have visited other places.

Girls in general: some members reported that "every african girl is available". I do not agree (and I am quite good with getting women). Maybe if you talk about simple gils or the rural areas, but a university educated girl from a well to do family in Nairobi is really not waiting for John Doe from Oklahoma.
But in general they like white men for sure, so if you are nice you can have a great time.

Shopping centers: Jaja (so-so), Nakumatt (Westlands) nice and Westgate (the best)

Hotel: stayed at Fairview. Very nice place with friendly staff. Definitely GFriendly, especially if you take a first class room. You have your own entrance in the garden and do not pass reception. But this has a price, roughly USD 130 a night

Herewith I correct my previous statement as follows: "about 93% would be most pleased ..."! And of course not all of them are hookers who do it for $$$! A number of them just expect some "taxi money" after the deed! :)

BTW, Azeb, are you familiar with the meaning of the word "virtually" that was written in the respective post? :)
