Regarding costs: simply compare prices in Mombasa! Especially during low season they offer heavy discounts. If I remember correctly I have paid about 45 USD per day including insurance and with unlimited mileage for a small Nissan. It was definitely worth it, in terms of sightseeing and in terms of girls! :)

Around AC, for example, I use to drive small unknown to short term visitors roads frequented mostly by locals. And exactly there not at bars I succeeded to find real girl-pinoy gems.

If I rent a motor in Mombasa, I wouldn't drive along the highway to display myself to everyone.

Hello Mombasa mongerers

Busy planning my next mongering trip, and keen to meet some beautiful dark skinned women this time around (have mongered twice in Jamaica before, but not in the mood to go back there for a variety of reasons for now) so want to head to Africa, and Mombasa looks like it meets all my requirements for a great mongering holiday.

Am busy RTFFing, and compiling some notes, but I was hoping to ask the Board a few questions that I hope aren't too uninformed:

1. I want to go in October, is this a good time of the year to go, or rather, is this not a bad time of year to go?

2. I have developed this obsession with filming women and taking pictures of them in various states of undress and in full on action.

2. I believe it's more of a general cultural reluctance to be captured on film than anything specific, but nothing that can't be overcome with some firendly words and gestures and some shillingi. I guess the guys who got in trouble with the police didn't hold up their end of the bargain moneywise? Otherwise, the girls stay as far away from the police as they can (remember: prostitution is nominally illegal in Kenya). I have never had Kenya Immigration or Police ask to check my computer or know anybody who was subjected to that. Just apply common sense and don't flaunt that you have pornographic material on you.

3. 1h20min should do; if not, there is always the next flight

4. Anal play is ok with many of them, active as well as passively, but anal intercourse is not commonly offered, except by hardened pros. The semis and amateurs I am targeting require a lot of coaxing and persuasion, but you get there eventually.

A copy of your passport is certainly good enough ( I have NEVER been stopped and asked for personal ID - once they see the Insurance sticker on the windscreen they wave me on ).

I have never had prob's with "Bamburi's Finest" , but I am aware of their bad reputation and I always make sure I stay away from compromising situations .

There is another one I haven't seen mentioned yet here, on the cheaper side but with a bar and restaurant attached. Its near Serena Hotel and its called Kendas. Not the Kendas in Mtwapa nor its sister hotel Kendas Village. They have a new branch near Shanzu on the road off the main Malindi Road. Someone should give it a try sometime. Accessible by two, three or four-wheeled taxi.

About nude photos of the girls you sleep with, I think they are worried about themselves being visible on the internet, it would be embarrassing to them if their extended family members saw them naked on the web. Also, they wouldn't want you to sell their pics for business, when you are not paying them anything for the photos. So its a dual-pronged reticence on their part.

Am gonna do a few days in Mombasa in a couple/three weeks time, and would like a reasonable priced GF hotel near to Cheers and Nakumatt. Any thoughts. Sai Rock is very expensive but would do, but any others?

Also, is it still as easy to pick up girls from Cheers and the restaurant outside Nakumatt, as I was there a while back but was with a lady, but there seemed to be loadsa girls eagerly waiting?

Again; you can't find a "cheap" hotel in the coast area. Try it in the town

Mtwapa is the cheaper alternative many many guys take and its full of nice girls and whites too.. maybe not so many right now as its the cold season. Matatus zoom along that road every 2 minutes giving you access to cheers and nakumatt for 40 cents US within 15 minutes. Pretty girls tend to come out when the sun is out too, they hate the rain and cool weather...they just stay at home when its cool and wet. So for me, Mtwapa is your option for a low-budget stay. Joy Guest House is well kitted out and only 800 KES per night. Kendas in Mtwapa is also not a bad option and is within walking distance of the pubs and night clubs. Staying in town centre CAN BE as cheap but many hotels are not girl friendly and its generally not a nice modern place. I have nothing against the town, the Mtwapa area, or anywhere, I am simply speaking the truth for the benefit of visitors to the area. Most areas are both SAFE and INEXPENSIVE so just enjoy your stay and dont worry too much about where to stay. If you get ripped off in one hotel you can easily move to another one the next day.
