I've been to Hua Hin a few times but only hung out on Soi 80 and Bintabaht. I have posted a couple trip reports. I've yet to venture out to Soi 94. Will be returning to Hua Hin in the near future and want to explore Soi 94. What bar or two are the best for hanging out for a couple hours then ordering takeout? I saw a video on youtube talking about Beaver's Bar, and it looked like a possibility.
Thoughts?
I've been to Soi 94 a few times and not been particularly impressed.
1) As you walk up from the main road you cross the railway lines and Wonderland (the main attraction) is ahead to your right. It consists of about a dozen small round bars, but a Youtube video from a couple of months ago shows it being refurbished.
2) If you turn right as soon as you cross the railway lines you can walk a couple of hundred yards and there is a rock bar on the left. Behind this there is another Wonderland style set up, but whenever I've been there half the bars are closed down.
3) Carry straight on down Soi 94 and after Wonderland there are loads of bar on both sides of the road. According to Youtube there is a new Irish bar (Scruffy Murphy's) at the junction with Soi Mae Kep 2. (looks quite good).
Overall it's a bit hit and miss where any talent might be found. I'm certain if you look long enough you will find something of interest.
