First of all Amman is an amazing city to visit in general. Fascinating in its landscape (ups and downs like in San Francisco, magnificent views from the higher parts, great climate, excellent restaurants which you can most easily find via Instagram), and its contradictions (great many women dressed like in Saudi Arabia, but also a more liberal minority). Also of course a hub to visit Petra and other sites. Tourism is after all one of the resources of this state in the middle.
