We obviously go for different types of girls, try to get away from beach road and walking street for a moment. I spend a lot of time in Thai and regulars can be found, most of the board has regulars. Sounds like you've been burnt, probably a few times like we all have. When my girls tell me stories about a guy did this or that for them, I laugh my arse off. And I agree these one trip wonders are hillarious. But I'll stick to my point, treating the girls like bottom feeders gets me no where, treating them like human beings works a hell of a lot better.

Treating them like humans the first day won't do that much, treating them like humans over time will get you very far.

I'm talking about treating girls as human beings and if I'm with a girl for a couple of months or see her for two / three straight weeks I have no issue to drop 300 USD on her for a friggin ring so sorry if that offends you. If a 9,000 baht ring is too much for you then so be it. But do the friggin math, 10 days x 500 bar fine = 5000 baht which I'm not paying. I work out long term deals with my regulars, say 10 days and 10,000 baht when they usually can get 2 K to 4 K a night or if they are short time girls they can get 4 or more customers a day (these that are skilled enough or cute enough that can demand the pricing or more). So most guys are paying 20 K to girls (minimum) and 5 K bar fine compared to giving them 10 K cash and a 9 K ring. I'm saving 6 K and these girls feel good about themselves... gee that is so so so bad I should burn in hell for this??? And you know what,,, they still have what i give them when they sell the shit from the one hit wonders which makes me laugh even harder.

Pattaya is too big, how anyone can say they are all bottom feeders is beyond me. Good girls can be found eventually, I agree 80% of Pattaya working girls have BF's. guys they regularly fuck (like me) or sponsors (usually some of you folks) and 95% lie, but once you get through those lies you can enjoy them. But you gotta stick in the game and play the game more then a one hit wonder.

Of course they lie, it's their frigging job. You think we are all handsum men and the best sex they ever had (Ok I am I know this as they tell me so) 5555 And out of those 5% that are left that are straight forward and honest 1% are cute enough to deal with. So you just gotta work your way through the bull shit (ko hok) to get to the truth and enjoy the girls.

Case in point, I have the apartment key card and room key for what I think (and other members on this board who have met her, Daddy07 for one) is a very attractive lady. She's 21. She has sponsors in four countries, she is a sexual dynamo and has the ability to sex 10 times a day if I want it with her, all three holes are open for me. And I can walk in her room at 4 am or 11 am or whenever I want and screw the hell out of her for free. I used to be able to do the same with her room mate but now she just got a new room mate so it will be fun to figure out this one in about one week.

So when she was at home (not pattaya) and asked for 3,000 baht last month with a promise to pay me next week after she gets back to pattaya I gave it to her without a question or hesitation (because she's always actually paid me back). Is that lavish? I've had unlimited sex with her for a few months now, repeated visits, free access to her room and every orifice on her body... Of course I'll drop baht on her.

You might call her a bottom feeder cuz of her job and she lies to you guys all day long but she and is getting good cash and sponsored by guys so I call her smarter then most American CEO's and me damn lucky cuz I'm tapping it for free.

Pattaya is TOO big... if you spend the time and effort you can find everything you want.

I'll share my views of some of the places in Pat. Let the slagging begin. It's only my 2 baht's worth, and I'm no expert. Just experienced.

TQ; didn't know Steve Donovan had died. I've been in a rather isolated country for the past couple of years, and hadn't heard (no P4P there, so not worth mentioning). OK place to hang, not a flock of stunners, and the same music from the 70's that they've always played. Still my favorite daytime go-go. Told my buddy that place hasn't changed a bit from my first visit almost 20 years ago.

Happy; was always my "go-to" place for the stunners, but was somewhat underwhelmed this time. Probably my first time in years I haven't barfined a girl from Happy.

Peppermint; good also, lots of girls. No real head-turners, but plenty of cuties.

Insomnia disco; like this place a lot, but doesn't get going until well after midnight. Has a bevy of hotties late, like someone else mentioned, probably go-go girls after work. Hooked up with a young hottie who did not disappoint. Tried to find her a week later, but alas, had to choose some other hottie.

Marine disco; a good place, as it always has been for years. My preference is Insomnia, for a late-night disco.

Baccara; new place with quite a collection of the upper quality. Have taken back a couple from there, and was not disappointed. Baccara, Happy, Peppermint and Beach Club are all owned by the same owners, Mr. Mac and Mr. Gulp (sp?), who also own the local go-kart racing track at Mini-Siam (not Easy Kart). These four clubs always tend to have the hotter women, though this year Beach Club was also a bit disappointing. Those two owners seem to have the hook-up through the Mamasans as far as hiring the hotter women (and yes, prices reflect that).

I guess Coyotes has closed? Angel Witch had some entertaining shows, but no real stunners I'd like to go home with. Club Boesche' was a bust; disappointed. Beach Road girls have never been my thing, and so this year I walked the road a few times at night to check it out. I'm scared. I know some of you have had good luck there. Wasn't my thing though.

I walked around in the sea of huge (and some small ones, too) animals, the only long nose in sight. One of the mahouts reached down and pulled me up on to his animal with him. He was from Ayuthaya. I had about 3/4th of a large bottle of Mekhong in my daypack. He and I and a few of the other mahouts passed it around and ate bags of boiled fresh peanuts. Spent about an hour up there using a combo of my very poor Thai and Souay language skills, a dictionary, and sign language to joke around. It was a gas. All I "paid" was the bottle. Very cheap date!

I didn't like seeing how hard they hit their beasts though. They use what look like two pound sledgehammers to whack them on the top of the head REALLY hard. I guess you need to hit 'them that hard to get their attention.

She probably puts it on when she comes to meet you and you see it and get all cheeseball. Let me remind you: she's a hooker.

If you want to pay her in a way that doesn't involve cash, pay her rent (directly to her landlord), her electricity bill, that sort of thing. A ring she can pawn for cash in a second.

Or if she really does mean something to you, just be there for her as a human being. Talk to her, listen to her if she's had a bad day. What does a ring do for her besides sit on her finger?

As I said before, there's a middle ground between treating girls like dirt and acting like a guy who's never gotten laid before by lavishing a hooker who's not your real girlfriend with unnecessary gifts.

I must admit that I often prefer the shy ones, and I spend a little time chatting with them before making (or not) a deal, so, that helps a lot to avoid the less interesting ones (at least, according to me) and the too hardened pros.

I too treat the P4P girls respectfully, but not as if they were really my regular girlfriends. I don't want to get too much involved emotionally with them. It's too much trouble sooner or later, IMHO.

About 10 years ago, on my second or third trip to Pattaya, a girl that I've met on my previous visit wanted to be with me during the last 10 days of my stay. She did not want any money from me, but just a one-baht (the unit of weight for gold = 15.2 grams approximately) jewellery (a necklace) that I bought on the last day of my stay. At that time (year 2000), her necklace cost me just a little bit more than 6000 baht. She could have earned 10000 baht (1000 baht LT per day) instead (and could have bought herself a more expensive gold jewel), so, it was a bargain, but she just wanted to be able to say (to her friends and family, for instance) that I have offered her this necklace.

I am not proud about it, but I've had a very difficult time on the next trip to Pattaya to get rid of her. This girl considered that I was her boyfriend then, even if I never sponsored her (nor any other girl by the way), just because I offered her (following her own suggestion) a gold jewel (not even a ring).

Therefore, I recommend to pay the P4P girls with money, and to not offer them any gold jewellery (if they really want one, they can buy it with the money that you pay for their services) or anything that could make them believe that you want to be their boyfriend (at least, if you don't want to be too much emotionally involved with these girls).

Be careful with freebies too in Thailand, especially if you don't want to have any commitment with the local girls: more often than not (at least, according to my own experience), freebies are not really "free" at the end of the day or may get you into trouble sooner or later.

My comment is about how unsightly it is to see low level trashy type girls in PATTAYA(bottom feeders of thai society) being treated so well by foreign men. I mean when you see guys taking them shopping in public, buying them stuff in public, taking them to movies in public. Treating them exceptionally well when they are not exceptional.

I wouldn't be caught dead spoiling a working girl in public.

That is my opinion.

This is an interesting post and I'd have to agree with a lot of it.

I'd like to add, It's not a big deal or uncommon to get free sex from thai prostitutes. In fact most of the thai guys fuck them for free aswell. The fools are the ones who lavish them with gifts and give them lots of cash. Thai guys are laughing as they spend the money that was just given to their girlfriends(sex worker) by the foreigner.

Children are usually considered an asset by most girls in Thailand, not a burden. Later, they are the ones who will take care of their family elders. Sure, it's often the grandparents who raise the offspring of many working girls, but it does not mean that the girls don't love their children. I don't believe that a majority of them would really "give their children away", even if it might happen sometimes, but once again, almost all the girls that I've met so far in the Land of Smiles have a good mentality and a pleasant personality and would not do such a harsh thing (as always, your mileage may vary). I don't treat them like my girlfriends, but most (at least, according to my own experience) are quite decent and honest human beings, so, I don't treat them like shit either.

In fact I can tell you exactly the last time a group of strangers gave me food and drink and then assumed I'd pay for it: 1984, Chiangmai. And they were the kind of people who probably would have done it to a Central Thai too.

The place I keep hearing about here recently, where farang always get stuck with the bill, where working girls are all scum who don't even love their own children, etc. etc. feels like some kind of farang khii nok alternative reality to the Thailand where I live. Pattaya of course can be pretty nasty -- truly a place where Thai culture meets farang and brings out the worst is both -- but I feel sorry for anyone who really believes that it's the true Thailand. With an attitude like that, no wonder they keep having bad experiences.
