First the disclaimer. If you're using Facebook normally, keeping up with friends and family, former co-workers and all that happy social media stuff, anything you do involving Facebook is going to connect to all those people. There are some security measures, such as requiring your approval for anything someone tags you in, or posts on your timeline. That keeps the chica from posting a picture of you with her and another girl in the jacuzzi on your timeline. However, no matter how high your security or precautions, your friends will still be getting friend requests or recommendations for girls in Medellin, even if you are only messaging them.

Now, if your family situation, or employment could be threatened by anyone associating your trips to Colombia with prostitution, stay off of Facebook and you might want to consider reducing your trips to Colombia. I doubt that group has the extra money for virus testing to travel, the funds to stay if air flights are cancelled, money to take a last minute flight out if need be. So I do not see them taking the jump to travel at this time. Plus, I think the girls would not be too open for playing around like before in this virus situation. I appreciate the reports more than ever. I was supposed to be in MDE in early December and then later December. My first trip was cut short by a health problem. I decided to fly back to the USA For that. Cleared that up in 5 days and next day after release I got hit by a car. Broken neck. While taking scans, saw some on pancreas and had to get a biopsy. Luckly, it looks like the pancreas issue is nothing. Now to find a surgeon who can fix my neck ASAP so I can rehab and then travel again. When you are in the hospital, they are ready to do surgery immediately. But when you are not, they want you to wait week for a "new patient" appointment geez.

However, there are also several scattered around Laureles, which I noticed when I was living over there.

At this time, I would think the hostel scene would be pretty dry. With international travel being down, restricted, and requiring PCR tests, the budget backpackers are probably waiting for better days.
