Many people forget that the Russian Empire, and then the Soviet Union, covered sixth of earth landmass and included 250 distinct ethnic groups (160 now in Russia), themselves being the result of centuries of mixes and blends between East Slavs, Ottomans, Indo-Europeans, Persians, Tatars, Mongols, ect. The variety of women in this part of the world is unparalleled, even in SA. The guys who say that FSU women are all shapeless and pale blondes don't know what they talk about and should visit someday Stans, Caucasus, Moldova, Romania or Bulgaria (or, within Russia, Ural, Volga or Siberian regions).

Furthermore, although Latinas are sexually "easy-going", Russian-ethnic girls are much more into the hard-core, long and passionate no-holds-barred 1000 mph sex. This is Russian mentality. These are extreme people. They are also undoubtedly the most learned and cultured women in the world (thanks to the Soviet education system, still alive in Russia, and which gives an immense importance to litterature and poetry). And they are witty, smart, passionate and enthusiast. And they are emotional people. Very emotional.

Not even talking about the fact that they are inevitably dressed in too short skirts and "fuck-me" stilettos, and that they love to have absolutely wild drunken parties.

After 15 years of mongering in Brasil, once I've been Russian, I've never came back. Yeah, for me, FSU women are the best in the world, bar none. ;)

Well, since you opened this particular can of worms: Asphalt, yes but roads no. Great majority of so called roads seem to be asphalt covered fields with holes in it. Postal service, bunch of thieves. Anything of value disappears, even letters. Police and ambulance? Who on earth wants to call a police and why. To be able to pay a bribe? Or to be able to be abused by the police? Can't trust them. Ambulance, you must refer on SAMU. Those take forever to appear. Also they pick patients who are on public place only. If you're at home and not able to go to the street you need to cal a private ambulance, which is safer anyway, but not free. And all these services are paid by taxes, which favela rats do not pay. Believe me 99 percent of favela population are worthless leaches.

To be more precise, if he is not a resident of the favela, he would be shot just if he dared to enter the favela. And if he is a resident, he will know better not to interfere with the "gato", the clandestine connection.

But in Brazil, this is a sport. Even rich people, companies, occasionally are caught stealing electricity and water.

Water: same method, connect to the water mains.
Sewage: put your sewage into the sewage drain, or just anywhere into the landscape.

No need for a discussions explaining that most of the people living in the favelas are hardworking honest people. However they do pay for phone, internet and cable TV.
In some favelas that are invaded and controlled by the police Light has started to prepare for their installations and will in time remove the "gatos". Meaning that the people living in the communidade will have to pay for their electricity.

Bullshit, people in favelas are just lowlife that should be removed...

It just serves right that those lowlifes finally pay their fair share of utilities.

Its so easy to romanticise those poor lowlifes when you do not end up paying year around their thieving.

Sadly it's not an uncommon attitude among certain middle-class RJ lowlife but that makes it none the more excusable really. I've met people of integrity in favelas and people utterly lacking it in Copa and so forth. Most people just try to better their circumstances as honestly as they can. Having hoodlums as neighbours or rulers does not make everyone a hoodlum. Just tips the odds against you.

Well I've been traveling, visiting and practically living in Colombia for more than a decade and have been hanging out now in Sao Paulo, Brasil for several years.

Interesting enough, I have found the exact opposite as you in the Colombiana vs. Brasileira.

I find the Brasileira (non pros) in general much more reliable and sincere than the Colombiana.
In fact, the Colombianas are famous for being flighty, i.e., late, no show, deceptive, etc.

Now I love las Colombianas too, of course, but I simply have found my Brasileira girlfriends to be much more dependable.
I am comparing only the non-pro girls, the pros from both countries, obviously can be unpredictable.
I am also only referring to girls I know from Sao Paulo and Bahia, since
I dont hang out so much in Rio.

As far as looks go, IMO, I think you will find more drop dead beautiful girls in Colombia (and Venezuela too), but I find the Brasileiras have a very sexy, and more fun attitude that I dig.
For me, I thought I was having the best sex ever in Colombia, but thats until I came to Brazil.
IMO, in general, its more relaxed and easy going in Brazil.

This was done in Colombia if I remember right and area was transformed to a park.

The fact is that favelas are useful for many corrupted politicians and police.

To Chris, you're so wrong that it almost makes me hurt. Maybe you pass lot of time in Brasil, but try living here. You'll find out that I'm closer to the truth than you can ever imagine. As I say 90% makes the rest look bad.

This is end of discussion related favelas from my part. If you guys really want to believe that favela rats are the people you want to associate, problem is not mine. I'm just telling how they are being seen by general public in Brasil. Remember I live here 365 days per year, and its not always fun.
