Super Girls... not so super in my case but I'm not passing judgement
I haven?t heard about Super Girls for a while now. A few weeks ago I decided to give it a go because I?ve heard & read about it, also I was in the Ginza/Shimbashi area and said "hey, why not. " I get there slightly after 6:30pm and ask the doorman politely (in? Of course) if I may come in. He responded "gaikokujin, NO THANKS. " Then I pulled out the discount card for 1k that an acquaintance of mine had given me about a month back. He still said "gaikokujin, no thanks, " I acted as if I was surprised and gave him the "eh. Honto? Wakatta, " nodded my head and went on my way. I just assumed he was pissed but nevertheless what he felt or what he was thinking was not going to have an effect on my behavior, I kept my cool and used reason. I didn?t want to make a scene because I don?t want to add fuel to the fire named "No Gaijin" by any means. Besides SG is located on a moderately busy passage and I don?t think being a black guy in this case helped too much. I read a post a while back about some military guys trying to get in who were acting a fool, despite that being a while back I?m curious as to if we are feeling the repercussions from past events or is it just a case by case basis as with most places? It would be a bad thing to have yet another place taken away from us. Don?t get me wrong there are a plethora of places to choose from but it?s always good to have options in various locations.
Location of Asian-Feeling
I found the map for the Asian-Feeling location on their website (http://www.asian-relax.net/system.html), and after figuring out that the map was oriented with East up (something I'll just have to get used to), I cross-referenced it with the Kabuki-cho map I found here (http://homepage3.nifty.com/kuroodo/html/map-e.htm) and came up with this location: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=109611849150422532546.000441c0fe6a62cd7a1b2&ll=35.694574,139.70111&spn=0.00103,0.001727&z=19&om=1&iwloc=000443c48b1c505a74d27Does this look right? Any corrections or additions would be appreciated! Although I should comment that I find it hard to enjoy a real massage (especially a traditional Thai massage) if I know there's a happy-ending in view. I like to keep my modes of relaxation somewhat distinct!
Returning To Tokyo After A Five-Year Absence
For seven years I dweltIn the loose palace of exilePlaying strange gamesWith the girls of the islandNow I have come againTo the land of the fair, and the strong, and the wiseBrothers and sisters of the pale forestO Children of NightWho among you will run with the hunt? Now Night arrives with her purple legionRetire now to your tents and to your dreamsTomorrow we enter the town of my birthI want to be ready-- Excerpt from 'Celebration of the Lizard'Words by Jim Morrison; Music by The Doors=====================I HATE for my first post here to be a request, but allow me to place my request into context. I am a gaijin and a former Tokyo resident; and when this whole Internet thing took off in 1995, I was a one-man wrecking crew for the Tokyo sections of the World Sex Guide and alt.sex.prostitution I also contributed extensively in these sections: Seoul, Hong Kong and Singapore. Perhaps, if the trail hasn't grown too cold, some fellahs here might recognize my handle. Also, I have a massive Tokyo FAQ that I would be happy to share with this site in the near future. After a five-year absence, I am returning to Tokyo for a business trip. Therefore, I am curious as to the current gaijin friendly shops in terms of:* Shibuya, especially the Fashion Health Clubs. I know that 21 Seiki and the Pink Salon one floor above closed.* Kabukicho, Pink Salons & Fashion Health Clubs. Sources tell me that Hinomaru is still going strong.* Roppongi: is Crystal still gaijin unfriendly? With the closure of Madonna Roppongi, have the other branches been receptive? I used to go to Madonna Yoyogi, but never Meguro and Hamamatsucho said they didn't accept gaijin. I still have my Madonna Group membership card.* Yoshiwara: my favorite Soapland was Starship. I also sampled Arena, Hilton and On-Stage Milano. A taxi driver once told me that about 10% of the Soaplands were gaijin friendly. Any observations?* What's up in Sugamo and Shin Okubo? In any event, I drop into Tokyo next week. After I return the US, I'll contact the moderator about my FAQ.
