X[/QUOTE]The cleaning/janitorial staff apparently remembered my gf as someome who they saw in that area (side note that the janitorial staff are always cleaning the hotel everywhere), so if the person cleans the CR every 30 minutes or so and only saw one girl use that CR, they made a link that it was likely her that lost the money and made the effort to locate her after the money was discovered.
Does anyone know of a decent short time hotel along Fields or adjacent?
I usually hate the long ride home and the walk of shame through the lobby where many of the front desk girls are my friends. I am very spontaneous when I spot the right one in the bar and all that routines above just ruin the moment.
I've been reading this forum for many years and don't recall someone posting about such a subject. Appreciate any comments.

nice story ac i dropped on the ground (out of my pocket) 25000php at boracay last year and it was returned to me by a filipina who came running to me in her flip flops. still brings a smile to my face when i think about it.
On my first trip to AC, my first night there, I bf a girl from Honey Pot. Rosie. Seemed sweet, 26. I had only been in town a few hours. When we left HP she put her hand in mine, and gave me a nice walking tour of AC. She didn't ask to stop for a drink or see a friend. It was 10pm. After our stroll we headed to the room, showered, and she was a happy loving girl. Having RTTF, I was convinced she would leave early, by midnight, and hop back to her bar hoping for another bf. Nope. We cuddled up and slept. Again, I figured she would hop up at 6am-ish and want to go home. Nope. She didn't wake up until about 9, then was fine with another pop. After a shower and expecting her to ask for a tip and split... she wanted to go to breakfast. Sure, sweet-thing-hottie-half-my-age, where at? The mall.
We triked over there and had breakfast at some place that looks mexi/spanish, the word 'burrito' or such painted on the wall. Long/skinny place as you walk in heading to the back. We eat, and I pay the bill at the register with my visa cc. We split from there, her hand stuck like glue to mine. The window-shopping dance occurs for about 30 minutes, bottom floor, then top. She asked for nothing. I kept waiting for the money-shoe to drop, YOU BUY ME THESE SHOES FOR P3000? Or such. Nope. As she was looking at some eyeliner, I bought it for her (p120) to be nice.
When I was sticking the change from the register back in my wallet, I noticed my visa was missing. I freaked a bit, showed Rosie. She said its at the restraunt, and we headed back into the hallway to get it. Now its getting crowded, about noon-ish, and as we get into the hallway she says YOU WAIT HERE! And she dashes off down the hall as fast as a 5-foot pinay can run in flip-flops. Two thoughts hit: a) she's running back to the restraunt to get it; and b) she's got the card in her purse somehow and she's splitting. Think A. As she gets down the hall almost to the restraunt, me hustling behind (thinking B), a waitress comes out of the restraunt into the hallway, looking in both directions, something in her hand. The two girls spot each other, speak for a moment before I get there, and the waitress hands Rosie my credit card and reciept. I felt like an idiot, both for losing the card and also for thinking the Rosie was stealing it. I offered the waitress p100 as tip and she smiled and walked back into the restraunt without it.
It gets worse. After that we walk back to Swiss Chalet to my room, Rosie's hand still glued to mine. Back in the room at 1pm abouts, I strip for a nap, she strips and lays down with me and asks boom-boom? I declined and said salamat, went to sleep, to awaken with her still there, snuggled up, 3pm-ish. Finally she said she had to go get ready for work and said goodbye. She asked if I was coming by the HP again and I said yes, that I planned to bf her again. What a mistake; all that other eye-candy got my attention.
I called my bank to see if the cc had any unauthorized hits, it did not. I checked it daily online after that. Nothing. Just my charges. The girl was great, the folks at the restraunt were great. What a nice first-memory of AC. I never saw the girl again. I went back to the HP this past July to see her, but they said she had gone back to the province.

Whenever I get a good one I get her phone and email. If you think you got good service that first time, I can almost guarantee it would be even better if you kept in touch and met her on a subsequent visit.

How far is AC from the Manila airport and what is the best way to get there?

There is no airport in AC and it is about a 36 hour drive by taxi. Best way to get there is when you arrive at Manila airport, just ask the first person you see for a taxi. They will get you a good, cheap air conditioned taxi with an English speaking driver. Should not cost more than $5.00 or $6.00

Easiest way is to have the hotel you are staying at pick you up (but this will likely set you back about P3,000 or so for a car and P3400 for a van), you could also choose to have one of the other car services that are reputable (such as margarita station, or beeline travel) they are a bit cheaper with prices ranging around P2,500 for a car to P2800 for a van. The next choice is taking a metered taxi to the bus depot, but i cannot comment om how to do that, because i have never dome it before (safety reasons, buses re robbed here all the time and also because i travel with a tom of baggage as I reside here, so when i return, i am bringing a lot of stuff with me).
Lately the late night arriving flights have been taking me about 1 1/2 hours to get from manila to ac, during the daytime you cam usually add a 1/2 hr to over am hour to that time.

Thanks in advance[/QUOTE]Most hotels in AC will have taxi service for a free. Check on line with the holels. There are also other taxi services the station has one as do other places. The only time I had to use an airport taxi was when my driver did nor show. Depending on the time of day or night you get in the ride is 2-4 hours. Most fights get in late and it is a quick two hours most nights. The $5-$6 dollar rate quoted is way off. Was about 1800P last time I was in AC, sure it has gone up too. Again check the hotel rate even if you use an airport taxi so you know what to offer them, don't let them give you a price.

Hesekiels[/QUOTE]Eaglestar was just having some fun while asking the poster to read the forum rather than ask a question that has been answered many times over. People with that many posts know what they're talking about, so I'm sure he isn't serious with that answer.
I'm actually coming into Manila on Sept. 22nd, and have arranged a ride via my hotel with one of their drivers as ACFreddie mentioned. First time there, and this method seemed to be one of the safest, and hopefully most reliable. Cost is approximately 3000php, but I'll pay a premium for convenience and safety.
