A long weekend in Pattaya
Last weekend, I visited Pattaya for the first time. I had been collecting information on ISG about this particular destination in Thailand for some time and was eager to check it out. So as to make it all the more enjoyable, I invited a friend who shares our interest in the hobby but had little information on the scene in Thailand.
My first impression of Pattaya was that, apart from packing an outstandingly large concentration of working girls in a relatively small area, the city has the most open scene I have encountered so far. I have been to other mongering destinations in Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Ko Samui) and elsewhere, but never found any other place so openly sex-oriented as this city. In my experience, bordellos, saunas and girl bars are either sparsely located within otherwise touristy areas (as in Shanghai or Hong Kong), concentrated in shady neighborhoods (as in some areas of Bangkok) or even situated in industrial zones or in the countryside, far from major urban areas (like some of the best FKK clubs in Germany). Even in Changping, Dongguan province, hailed as the ultimate mongering destination in China (and for good reason), the action takes place inside hotels and sauna clubs, with no colorful neon signs outside bars or obvious street scene.
In Pattaya, though, everything happens pretty much in your face. Girls are available everywhere – on the street, in the bars, in the go-go joints, in the discos. Mingled with all that, a great number of foreign tourists. Not only fellow mongers, but also families, old couples and – at least during the particular weekend we were there – a large array of Eastern European beauties in tiny shorts and sexy dresses. With all this energy mix, the vibe of this place couldn’t be anything else but awesome!
We arrived early on Saturday and, once the night came, went out hunting. We first visited a few go-go bars on Soi 15 and were less than impressed with the selection of girls on either Babydolls or Shark. Ended up choosing two girls from Roxy, on Walking Street. Mine was by far the most beautiful girl in the bar, with very fair skin, beautiful features (she actually looked Japanese), shapely boobs and a round, firm ass. Her name was Paan and she said she was 21. I was so much struck by her attractiveness that I forgot to read the signs of trouble – however obvious they were. She asked for THB 2000 short time. It seemed too much, so I said I would agree only if she would stay with me for two hours. Then, she said I should pay her in advance, something I’ve been long enough in the road to fall for. After some back and forth, and a little help from the mamasan (actually, a ladyboy whose main job, apparently, is to push you into buying lady-drinks), she agreed to stay for two hours and to be paid after the deed. That alone should have sent me the right message (no payment usually means poor performance), but still I didn’t listen.
My friend also made his choice and we decided to head back to the hotel. I paid the barfine for my girl (THB 600) and we left. On the way back to our car, she asked me why didn’t I get one of the short-time hotels around Walking Street. I said we’d be more comfortable in my hotel room, but that was another good indication of how fast she wanted to get rid of me. I mentioned the name of my hotel (Dusit D2 Baraquda) and she said, “Oh, my sister works there”, but she was actually referring to Dusit resort, up at the opposite end of Beach road, on north Pattaya.
Paan was indeed stunning, and I was immediately aroused once we arrived in my room and she undressed. Curvy body, beautiful nipples, soft skin. However, as you all can imagine by now, she had a bit of an attitude. Then she said “This is why I don’t like to go with older men, there is always a problem”, to which I replied, “you don’t like older men, you shouldn’t be in this business”. After a while, a little more collected, she asked me if I would pay her THB 1,500 (the same amount my friend had agreed with his girl), and I agreed, just so she would leave and not make more of a scene. We were standing there and discussing for a couple of minutes and, as much as I know that Dusit D2 is girl-friendly, I’m sure management wouldn’t be happy if they received a complaint about a working girl and a hotel guest making a scene at the aisle of one of the accommodation floors. Eventually, her girlfriend left my friend’s room and they both left the hotel (apparently they had reached an arrangement between themselves to milk these two silly bastards as fast as possible and swiftly go back to Roxy for another round). All in all, still a good experience (I still fondly remember her great shapely ass!!).
On Sunday, it took us a while to realize that the Buddhist holiday meant a dry-day (no alcohol sold), which in turn implied that most girl bars and certainly all go-go bars were closed. We tried a number of places and went up and down Beach Road and Second Road a few times before finally giving up. Later at night, after my friend had already called it a day, I convinced myself that no Buddhist holiday should keep me from finding company in Pattaya and out I went again. The streets were almost desert, all lights were out in Soi 6 and the scene at other alleys was just as dismaying, with just a few stranded WGs and the odd policeman. I ended up finding a mildly interesting girl in front of Fungirl bar, on the alley between Soi 7 and 8. She was called Som (like “orange” in Thai, or so she told me) and had exotic features, which wouldn’t be enough to grab my attention if we were at a go-go bar, but at that point I was not about to be particularly picky. I offered THB 500 for short time, she didn’t move. I raised it to THB 700 and she agreed. There was no bar fine, since the bar was closed and she was just hanging out there. Funny enough, we ended up having a great time. She gave me a nice and relaxed BBBJ and did not hurry me to finish. Quite the opposite, she actually wanted to stay for long-time (provided I doubled her pay). But I prefer to sleep by myself, so I kindly invited her out after paying her.
On Monday, my friend and I went to the beach in north Pattaya. After some sun bathing and beers, we decided to visit the soapie Sabai Dee before lunch. It is located just one block away from the beach, on Second Road. The fishbowl had some 13-15 girls at 2pm, mostly average-looking, no stunners. Service was THB 1,900. Interesting detail on this particular establishment is that the fishbowl is located on a large area, together with the reception desk (where you pay for the service) and a dozen tables were punters seat and make their choices while having a drink. My experience with picking a girl from the fishbowl comes mostly from China, where the “fishbowl moment” is just this – a moment. You stand there for a few seconds with someone from management putting pressure on you to choose a girl and go to your room. In Sabai Dee, we took our seats and discussed the options leisurely over drinks. The only pressure was that the other punters would sometimes chose the girls we were seriously considering taking. We finally made our choices and went to the rooms. Routine was very similar to that in Bangkok, except that here the girls insisted on CBJ (it happened to both me and my friend). Overall, not a memorable experience, but a very convenient option, close to the beach and available during the day, while bars and go-go joints are still closed.
On Monday night, we did another round of go-go bars and barfined two girls from Living dolls. My friend got the best looking of the girls available. He so much as spotted her sitting by herself on a table next to ours and already he had made his mind. Mamasan said her BF was THB 1000, while the BF for my girl was THB 700. central festival is the new shopping mall and it's fabulous! makes bangkok completely obsolete now. delicious food. i recommend the viet place on 6th floor. i keep seeing guys with thai young hotties around there and i keep wondering where they hell did they find them? and i also wonder how much they give these hotties per day.
hotels. i used to stay at top thai for 600 baht aircon/fridge but found pn inn (ancient crappy aircon) next to it for 400 baht. (soi pn next to the p72 bar/lucifer) but 1 alleyway down you can get 500 baht single/600 double for nicer room with wifi next to jasmine hotel. jasmine hotel for 800 baht you get a f*kin studio with full kitchen (induction stovetops) and a sink and wifi. this is walking street area.
closer to central festival the prices go up around 2nd road/soi 10-13 it's 600-800 baht and no wifi. i'd personally rather walking street and take the mini-pickup trucks for 10 baht.
