He said it's just a risk you take, when you go to Juarez. He said having a hispanic tour guide, or being with a hispanic friend, who spoke fluent spanish, might lower the risk some, but no guarantees that would prevent robbery by the cops. I asked him if wearing a hat, or dressing down would lower the risk, and he just shook his head no. I think his view of it is, "If they want you, they're going to get you."
The first time I was robbed by the Juarez cops, I was with my hispanic tour guide, Rubin, who spoke fluent spanish. Oh well, so much for that idea. :rolleyes:
