In that same complex there is the Bus Station that rolls to BKK. I have been going to my road side stand for as long as it has been opened. I have witnessed ride share service cars dropping off and picking up people all the time. They do not go into the parking lot were the taxis are located. The taxi mafia does not control the streets.
I think [U]Bolt[/U] is better than [U]Grab[/U] in [B]Pattaya[/B].

Sometimes one of the yellow taxis will work for Bolt.

I'm currently in Thailand staying for three weeks. I was in Bangkok for my first week and now in Pattaya for one week. I'm at Soi 6 and have explored the bars for three nights. The girls are stunning! Tons of girls everywhere. I see them go up to white guys walking the streets and aggressively try to pull them into the bar even grabbing their crotches. However, if you are brown you will not get that much attention. I walked the street many times and probably had two girls try to pull me in. I saw a few brown guys experience the same. Note, I'm not good looking but not super ugly either. I've never had issues getting a girlfriend so I'm maybe 4-5 looks wise. But I am brown with a pretty similar skin tone to Thai people. I went in to a few bars and asked a few girls to have drinks with. One didn't really seem interested in talking so I thanked her for keeping me company and left. Spent about 200 baht on drinks for her and I. The second girl was much friendlier but when I asked how much to go upstairs she didn't seem too keen and she asked for 3000 baht for one hour plus room rate of 400 baht and she said she needed a flight of tequila shots which I felt was pretty pricey considering how much cheaper things were in Bangkok. Not to mention she seemed uninterested when I asked about what is offered. I saw a few white guys come in while I was chatting it up with the ladies and my goodness the attention these guys got was amazing. This old white gentlemen had like 2 girls trying to get his attention. And if you are a decent looking white guy you will be a god here. The ladies will throw themselves at you. I was at a bar by myself with no one batting an eye at me and this one decent looking white dude comes in and holy fuck these girls jump on him aggressively trying to get his attention. I think Bangkok is much better if you are brown. I met a freelancer in Nana plaza. Amazing experience. She asked for 2000 baht 2 hours and said she would be slow. So long story short. If you are white I highly recommend Pattaya. If you are black, I think you will do better than brown but not white. The girls are there for money, not to find their knight in shining armor. When a guy is walking down the soi and a girl is pulling on him, she is actually pulling on his wallet.
