Spent few days in Bangkok mongering earlier this week, after about half a year since previous round.
One thing that bothers me is that the quality of ladies at least in places where I used to go has been substantially reduced compared to few years back. Until couple of years ago, I used to stop by in BKK every couple of month or so for short breaks, mostly going to Nana disco, CM2 and Soi 7 beer garden, with occasional jump to GoGos. Nana disco, and the parking lot
after disco was closed, used to have good supply of good looking, eager ladies, both pro's and also freelancers especially on weekends.
My observations this week are quite a bit different; Angles disco has barely any people, and parking lot quantity and quality is down too. Beergarden in Soi 7 only has almost only the old ugly ones left; students and freelances who used to come in weekend afternoons for some extra money are gone. Even in CM2 I think quality of local talent has come down, taken over by russians who I am not interested a bit. Spice club in Soi 11 had few decent ones - but guy to gal ratio was not favourable, especially if looking for better looking ladies only. Some GoGo's seemed to have decent quality girls, but think places with beauties are also fewer than they used to be; I am not a GoGo guy though, prefer the more "natural" approach in discos bars, and even streets and parking lots.
Those of you living locally, do you know what has happened? This country must have beatuful gilrs as it did before - but where are they; are the some new places where these gals would go instead of the places that used to be good hunting grounds before?

Low season; the recent political crisis; the airport closing -- nothing has diminished the supply of pretty girls here. Reports on this forum of late are even describing many cuties plying their trade on Beach Road and soi 6.
I see dozens of them on Walking Street every time I visit, and there are dozens more in the go-go's, beer bars and discos. Maybe they have all discovered that Bangkok is a pit and Pattaya is the place to be.

Yes but a working girl has to be 18 and some places only take 20+

There are some on 33 that are a shady as well, no area is perfect. Basically there are some bars at all venue's that can be a little more of a risk for the check bin then others...

Got ripped off 3 years ago at Sheba's. Paid with 1000 TB bill, got the change for 500 TB. Protests were totally useless. Important always to stress: These are 1000 TB. They will try to trick the next one.

The bar girls earn a salary, so as a cost cutting measure due to the lack of customers, the girls are asked to stay home, and mamasan will call if there are enough customers. Same with the soapies, except they don't have a salary, still they're staying home and only come in when mamasan calls.
Some use the chance to visit family up country. Not sure about the freelancers, but for sure there are a lot more of them hanging around along Sukhumvit now, some even decent looking, except some of them are LB for sure, so I wouldn't risk it.
Some jump at the chance of travelling with a regular to Phuket, Samui, etc. for a few days.
PS. Just came back from the weekend in Hua Hin. The bars near the Hilton hotel are dead dead, practically empty, every single one. Only this one bar has 3 customers on the entire street block.

I read this and had to respond with an anecdote, because I found this funny and oh-so-true.
In 2001, I took my ex-TGF to Canada for a visit with my family. While having lunch at Tablerock Restaurant overlooking Niagara Falls, the waitress handed my 23 y.o.
