Rubber is admittedly not a matter of importance in Indonesia (contrary to Brasil where women have been literally brainwashed against bareback sex). In more than ten years of very intensive mongering in JKT, I have never ever been asked to wrap it up, even with the most cosmopolitan and learned non-pros.

I think I could poll any guy I meet in any establishment in Jakarta and they would disagree with that. I've lived in Jakarta 10 years and the majority of girls suggest a condom. Many of them mandatory. Hell, even at Malioboro, the girls all require condoms (they provide them). I've never even once had a girl there not pull out a condom before she got to work. One of the excuses the malioboro girls use to not give up a 2nd round is that they only had one condom. So I always bring a couple with me to prevent that scenario. Sure many girls in the down market places will go without a condom if I wanted that, even some in the up market. I have lived in Jakarta just 8 yrs but have to side with Smoothy on this one.
The last 2-3 years in particular condoms are at least discussed. But more to the point is the number of non Indonesian men from all sorts of countries that do not wish to use them.

We obviously don't talk about the same thing. By "girl" I didn't mean "working girl", but non-pro. And anyone who has scored a few non-pros in Indonesia knows that Indo girls have a VERY lax attitude (to say the least) towards condoms.
