Peaceful in SP and Rio? So what.

Here is a more recent report (June 20th) specific to SP. An anti-gov demonstration is by definition, civil unrest. The fact that cops are not bashing skulls in does not change that.
But here's a thought for you: President Balls-up is facing an election next year. His poll numbers are dwindling daily. There are parliamentary enquiries taking place that every day continue to embarrass him personally, and the people are demanding a lockdown in order to reduce the infections. Balls-up is an arch populist. Would you bet against him either trying to get tough with the protestors, or caving in to them with a lockdown to save himself in next years elections? And if he does nothing, would you bet against him being impeached?
