The LA Times had an article about the golden age of Tijuana during prohibition when Molino Rojo and Agua Caliente were big casinos and TJ was where SoCal went before Vegas. It is interesting to wonder what it would be like today had that continued.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed my ramblings. I can't converse in Spanish, but make due with some basic vocabulary--together with a friendly attitude and a smile and I find that I can usually get by okay.

hey guys i travel ALOT and i was at the post office today. well a passport card is 55 bucks. would this be worth it if i go to tj or if i loose my original passport. can i just take my passport card to tj and not my passport. i have a trip to central america this winter, do not wanna loose my passport, never have lost my passport in the multiple trips to 35 countries but is the price and use of a passport card a good value/thingwhat do you guys think? thanks

It's much easier to carry than the regular passport.

It's only good in MX, CA and some Carribean nations.

I keep mine handy and my passport in a safe place for travel outside of MX.

I orginally had planned to be in mexico for 23 days but I had to drop it down to 10. Unfortunately some personal issues came up.

This was not just a mongering trip for me. I was here in june trying to organize a photography exposition with my TJ photos. This time I closed the deal with the cultural center. Twenty of my photos and 4 of my tshirt designs will be displayed at a high school as part of a cultural program that the cultural center offers. Afterwards they will be displayed in the IMAC/SECUD building next to el arco. I received a certificate of "reconocimiento" which was a very nice surprise...done.

The big surprise however was that I banged a civie on my birthday! This was already in the making from my previous trips down here. Lets just say she was very close to home.

Mongering:

There really isnt a lot to say. All I did were street girls and I cant remember one touching my dick. These sgs here are the laziest most germophobic hoes I have ever seen. IMHO mexican attitude towards sex is rather bland in general. Women dress sexy but when it comes to the bedroom they are rather lame compared to south america or even central america. Men arent as dominant in mexico(in the bedroom) towards women as in south america IMHO.

I will say though that mon - wed are IMHO the best days for pure mongering in la zona. If you go to the zona around 9pm on these days chances are you will find some very desperate women. Last night was a prime example. I hardly had to negotiate a butt and pussy licking for $20 plus $5 for the room. She was the one that quoted me that super low price. Thursdays are ok but that is when thing start to pick up. Any day is a good day for HK club. You will always see people in there. The other bars are dead. If you arent a drinker then the zona will get very boring for you once you had a few sessions.

* The sessions were more like glorified whack off sessions more than anything else. I also felt rather pressured on time. It is better to go into a sessions with a hard on and a desire to pop rather quickly.

The other bar I liked was rio grande a few doors down from el arco on that main street where the zona starts. It is catty corner to hotel santa cecilla which is across the street from the hotel nelson. I hope this makes sense.

I did have a chance to visit a few hotels when I was here. This is what I found:

This is located next door to the swap meet about 1 1/2 blocks from hotel ticuan. Rooms run around $30 even on weekends (some hotels charge more on those days). Ive read on another forum that guests are allowed but I did not verify it. I usually dont ask those questions when I first introduce myself to a new hotel.
I really like this place. The rooms are rather small but very clean and very plush for a $30. IMHO these were the nicest $30 rooms in TJ that I have seen.

The area is pretty mellow and you are rather central. Some people might feel a little uncomfortable walking the 1 1/2 blocks from the ticuan.

Las pulgas is right there as well as sonriana supermarket. Credit cards are accepted and there are safety deposit boxes at the front desk.

Hotel Central:

This hotel is right around the corner from ricardos sandwhich shop and the hotel la villa de zaragoza. A single room will run you a whopping $20.There is a xoxo(7 11) directly across the street. The rooms are rather basic but large with new wooden floors. There is no heat but they do offer a fan in the summer. Noise would not be too much of an issue here. Some rooms have windows and some dont. There is a sign saying no visitors. The advantage to staying here would be location. You would bascially have whatever the hotel zaragoza offers minus access to the hotel. I am not sure about parking.

Someone mentioned this hotel received so so reviews. If anyone can add to it Id like to know.

This is a family owned hotel on ave madero 2 blocks from el arco. The rooms face inside the building so I dont think noise would be an issue. The rooms run around $30 and are typical TJ dank looking. The owner seemed rather nice and even offered to keep medicine for me in his fridge at the front desk. There is a sign saying no visitors after 7pm.

The dank look grossed me out. It might be an option for other people.

Motel Arragon:

This hotel is one block below ave madero....3 blocks from revo. It is in a rather isolated area but there is a xoxo directly across the street. There are a total of 72 rooms some without tvs and some with heat! The manager said guests were allowed with ID. If you stay for a week the room will run $27 if not expect to pay around $30. Rooms are large with fans but pretty basic. If you have a car this might be worth a stay. The famous JUNIORS TACOS is in walking distance.


Food :

Before coming down I wrote down a few restaurants but never made it to them. I did however find a new place in the plaza rio to the right of commercial mexicana. The place is called " super antojitos". Apparently they have another one on calle 3 and ninos heroes. The place is tiny but some plates might compare to high end mexican restaurants at lower prices. I highly recommend you try this place at least once.

Another place I enjoyed was " El Museo" the new place across the street from the hotel nelson. They are owned by the same people. They offer more of an international menu but very few choices. I ate there last night...sat at an outdoor table right on revolucion. The food was excellent. Soup plate desert drink and tip came out to $17. Having a quiet moment on revolucion all to myself was very pleasant.


* I tried a few tacos varios stands and I was pleasantly surprised. My favorites were the one across the street from bar zacozanopan and the taco joint next to mac donalds where all the gay bars are (el arco). Thank you isg member "bobisee" for convincing me to try them. I did not get sick once.

I kept busy shopping for my ebay store and enjoying the atmosphere. The sex was lame but I had a great time just hanging out and being around fun people. Tomorrow I cross back to chula vista for a night then its off to my cell in NYC.

The border is fascinating me. I would really like to investigate the texas border towns. I might just do that on my next trip. I realize that I need a lot more available to me than just mongering. My trips to tijuana verify that.

Nice meeting joe arturo from the mexicali forum. Eventually I will get there. Too bad it wasnt this time around.

As always tom jackin was a lot of fun to hang out with. He had a girl sit on his face right in the booth at HK. You are my hero!

Headed into TJ this early afternoon, with a quick stop in San Ysidro for pesos, which was at 12.1050 exchange rate.

Hong Kong: I'm really addicted to this place and can spend hours on end hanging out, drinking, and playing with the chicas. Love the afternoons and early evenings before the sausage fest starts. No re-entry stamp as of yet, and my buddies at the customer service desk were MIA the entire day, so not sure when the new stamp thing will happen.

Had a new experience today at HK. I like to sit in the "loft", or at least that is what I call it. It is one of the two booths that sit above the hot tub and you really have a chance to check the whole place out at the same time. Two of the cuties finished the lez show and were in the hot tub and were looking up and flirting with their tongues and such. So when they finished, I had them come by for a drink. There is something about naked women in half-ass towels that makes me a happy camper. I asked them if they liked tequila, and they both had silly grins. I brought over the tequila guy (who should start claiming as a dependent on my taxes), and the fun started. He started pouring tequila on their tits, which I had the responsibility of licking clean. But it went further than that. The towels were open and the tequila guy motioned to their happy spots. So, he poured tequila just above the snatch and I licked it up like a wild dog. Street Girls: The SG's were abundant tonight, more than I usually saw in the past. And there were a good amount of hotties as well. It appears it is a buyers (or renters) market!

Chicago Club: Went there about 9, and it was quite dead; a few hotties in the crowd.

Las Chavelas: Loud music with a bunch of chunky chicas; enough said.

Adelita's: I stop in this place every week for a drink. I believe this place has some of the hottest women I have ever seen on display. I would say that compared to HK, the women at Adelita's are hotter. However, I also believe the women at HK are more playful and I do enjoy touching them so much!

as measured by raw quantity of ladies available for st, there are internationally many, many examples of clubs with a lot more ladies than hk under a single roof such as in bangkok (rainbow 4, tilac, baccara) or in germany (fkk oase, fkk palace), and many, many others. if you count the dollhouse/atlantis/crystal palace megaplex in angeles city philippines as one club it is about quintuple the size of hk, if not then three more examples of clubs bigger than hk and that is just one complex there out of many in that city. i can't think of a club in south america which is comparable in size to these (probably angelu's in caracas? though i haven't been there in years and i'm not sure if it's open) although in south america there are several examples of clubs which specialize in hotties and where the ugliest lady is several points better looking than the hottest lady who has ever stepped inside hk (examples: lalo's or la mansion in bogota) - south america is more about quality than quantity.

for shows (not really my specialty - actually watching these shows when you are alone screams "creepy old guy" to me), walking street on pattaya is probably the world capital of glitzy shows - lesbian shows, soapie shows, and everything else, all set up like art. for the more tasteless shows (such as on stage m/f intercouse), not sure how common that is in hk but it can be seen in lower end seedy areas around the planet (none really that notable), not that rare really.

the one unique thing in hk which i have not seen duplicated elsewhere (and not sure that i want it to be) is paying the lady $1 for a short grope. in other very low end bars in mexico (such as infinito in monterey) you can also grope the ladies although you don't have to pay. this service is the bread & butter of what hk is all about, but it is for younger, desperate, low class mexicans who can't afford full service sessions, and shouldn't be relevant to guys interested in full service. probably the closest international analog would be peep show booths available in seedy areas anywhere.

First, I am very happy to live close enough to get to TJ often.

I enjoy HK during the day since it is not yet a sausage fest. At night, it usually seems to hot & crowded for this old fart.

While not like HK some other clubs that I enjoy;

Medellin - Fase Dos has IMO the hottest looking women in a club that I have seen. It seems like they have a meter at the door that won't allow 7's, or below, in. The Centro clubs have some very hot women also, but a step down for Fase Dos. They will have FS shows on the stage (not really my thing to see though). My favorite is the hotel that I stay at. They let in 7-15 ladies that will sit round the pool, all sitting within 5 feet of my room, and party until you are ready to give them a private English lesson. The Mayorista street scene is something to see. Less than 30 days and I will be there again.

Angeles City - Whole streets of clubs and women. What's not to like about a $10.00 BJ at 7 AM on Santos St. (aka Blow Row)? Everything from old pro's to those fresh from the provinces.

San Jose, Costa Rica - Hotel Del Rey has no shows but on any given night a hundred, or so, ladies waiting for a date. Key Largo, across the street from the HDR where you can go to dance, which Latin women seem to love. My personal favorite strip club Le Grillion. I haven't been to TJ for about three weeks now and am going through withdrawals. I will be making another journey south of the border prior to my MDE run for Thanksgiving.

that's a rather harsh assessment, don't you think? and i don't think their target customer is "low class mexicans."

it is a [b]candy store[/b] for any american otherwise stuck with american strip clubs. i don't know anything about the international scene (i'm just a low class american and can't afford international travel.) but from what i see, it's a feast for the eyes, hands, and offers fs as well.

This is one of the clubs I forgot to mention. One of the guys from the hotel brought me there. I did not get a chance to stay at the hotel you were at, or visit the casas, or hang out on Mayorista street; I will have to go back to experience more.

San Jose, Costa Rica: The Hotel Del Rey scene did not appeal to me, but there were some beautiful women in the place, and many were quite aggressive. I stayed at the Sportsmen Lodge and really like the scene, hotel, and staff. I went to Key Largo with two of the gals I met at the SL; fun place. I did not get a chance to go to the strip clubs, I wanted to, but did not want to venture out alone. Once again, I think I will return to explore more.

Angeles City: I went there several times before the volcano destroyed Clark Air Base. Started going to Olongapo with the navy in 1977 and my last trip there was when we closed Subic Bay and evacuated both bases. Also, stationed there for 2 years (liver still hurts). So I agree with your thoughts on the place. Nowadays, I visit Bangkok and Pattaya yearly to get my Asian GFE fix.

Because I have always been married and got robbed by the cops three times while driving in Mexico, I did not discover the Zona Norte until this past April. I can thank Xxnegrito (retired monger) and Onewinglow for my first trip to the Zona. And the fucking place is 20 minutes away from where I live!!!
