I was finally obligated to make a trip down to Pattaya, after not being there since before covid.
A bit of history with me and the place. In the early 00's I used to go on average once a month for 3 nights. It was especially amazing during low season. You could shoot a cannon down most toys and not hit anybody, but there will always plenty of girls, and may I add plenty of good looking ones. Soi 6 was an outstanding place for early afternoon and evening entertainment. None of the bars were open air to the street and there was no blaring music. It was simply small bars, or rather full on knocking shops, full of gals who were more than willing to take you to the room for 500 to 1 k Baht with a 200 to 300 Baht BF that included the room. Drinks or of course available but you are in no way obligated to buy lady drinks, in fact you could just choose whatever caught your eye and head straight upstairs.
This city itself was so empty during low season that the two-story Starbucks, the third shop opened in the country, would often have only our small group of friends upstairs drinking coffee all afternoon.
The bars themselves were also fun, both beer bars and Go-Go's. All of the above had plenty of good looking thin early 20's gals who hadn't yet had babies. ST and LT at beer bars was 500 and 1 k respectively and at Go-Go's 1 K and 5 K respectively. In the Go-Go's girls were fun, playfully aggressive, and a lot of fun.
And then there was Marine disco that kicked off in earnest after the bars would close. No problem with 1 K long time.
If you were strolling down Walking Street at any time after say 10:00 you would have a constant barrage of girls asking to go with you. This increased after midnight when Soi 6 closed and those girls headed for the disco.
Patters was absolutely amazing during these times and I have some of my best memories of our hobby from that time.
From around 07 till the mid 10's I think I only visited once or twice, not enough to make any judgments and then between 16 and covid I would go occasionally when friends were in town. During that time I found a very changed town and scene. Soi 6 became a loud zoo of open air bars. While it was still some quite good looking girls, I found the atmosphere to be far less appealing, and of course the prices had increased and one was expected to buy drinks and sit about with the girl as opposed to getting right down to business.
Go-Go's had changed significantly both price wise, demographic of customer-wise, and atmosphere-wise. Go-Go's that catered to Asian customers had very good looking girls that weren't particularly interested in westerners and were far less interactive than the days of old. Prices also increased dramatically, even on Soi 6 where gals seem to also to prefer Asian customers. During this time I found the G clubs, namely Kinnaree, to be very enjoyable. Always some lookers, very well priced, and fun. I often wished we had places like that in Bangkok. I also found some talented times amongst the small massage joints on Soi Honey. One really good thing about this particular era is it seems many of the gals discovered going to the gym. So there were plenty of fit women about.
Unfortunately I never made it down to Pattaya during Covid, which it seems as it was in Bangkok an absolutely marvelous time for our hobby.
Fast forward to this past weekend and I agreed to meet a group of friends that I haven't seen in over a decade down at the beach. Some were in town for the first time in ages and they decided that is where they wanted to meet up. After seeing recent videos from Pattaya my expectations were low, and my expectations did not let me down.
Arriving early on a Saturday afternoon I had a very nice three course lunch special that even included a glass of wine. Aside from seeing my friends, this was the highlight of the trip. I was also astounded at the insane number of people in Pattaya.
After checking into my hotel I decided to have a bit of a walkabout and check out the central Pattaya G clubs. Strolling down Soi Honey, I was immediately struck by the size and age of the majority of the women working. Both of those numbers needed to go in a southerly direction in order to be appealing. The G clubs I poked my head in were equally as disappointing, so I ventured back to the hotel for a rest.
Dinner with my friends was fantastic. It was wonderful to have a catch up. Afterwards we hit some of the bars on LK Metro. I was again absolutely gobsmacked at the lack of talent. Fat, old, dark, and ugly for the most part, and I was told these were the "best" Go-Go's. I saw maybe one or two that would pass muster, but not for what they were asking. After 3 or so bars I had seen enough and I broke off on my own to have another look at the G clubs that opened later. I was again taken aback at the lack of talent. Age and weight were definitely on display and it seems that the majority of gals working in Pattaya had forgotten where the gym was but haven't missed a meal and if perhaps added a few more meals during the day.
With my libido on the floor I decided to have a look and Beach Road. I wish I hadn't. Appalling is too nice of a word for more than one reason.
Although the talent isn't what it used to be in Bangkok, Fiwfans and the oilies have far better looking girls than what I saw in Pattaya this past weekend and I don't have to deal with the crowds of tourists. I'm also pretty assured of a certain level of performance. In all fairness, I didn't try TF down there, so maybe it is better.
So it was back to my hotel for a rather nice sleep during the cool night and a fairly early rise to grab a nice breakfast before catching the bus back to BKK, less than 24 hours after I arrived in Pattaya, probably not to return for quite a long time. Seeing the old alcoholics drinking beer in the bars open in the early morning on the way to the bus station was just the icing on the cake.

My first trip in Pattaya. First night I stay in a hotel near W / S. After 31 hours flight (plus layover) and synced to the home clock after a good sleep, I went outside near 11:30 pm. Remembering somebody said that after midnight you might find some good looking girls with decent price, I felt that I selected a right direction. Finishing my Lanzhou noodle, heading back to hotel I picked up a girl with good looking and slim body smooth skin. After negotiation with her "Aunti" , I got the price of 2 hours for 1600 Bht. Then on the way back to the hotel the girl start to complain it is too long a walk. My hotel is right beside Hardrock. So anyway back into room, she charged me 200 for two condoms. We finihsed one shot and she irritatingly asking for a second shot without doing much. After a few minutes' unsuccessful tries, I really can't tolerate her bullshiting. I asked her to leave but she won't give me 100 bht back as she will leave the 2nd condom to me WTF. A good lesson. BTW, she suffered some body injuries on knees and breast because fighting with Indian customer per her explanation. No wonder the Indians will beat her. Although with good looking face and a young body of 22 years age, she should not stay in the hospitality industry.
I have learned my first lesson on the first night here. I still have few days staying here so let's wait and see.

Some look like Kim Un Jung, but ladies like them.
Many Tomboys in Pattaya are supported by bar girls, same as young Thai men. And there are Tomboy bars, usually open after midnight.
I was just curious as to whether anyone had gone with one.

Think you are doing the right thing staying in BKK. The Viets on 4 providing good service? What's the going rate?

Unlike Thais, Viets are a bit more concerned about how long a session takes. They're on Soi 4 to hustle from 8 pm to 4 am each night, on a limited duration visa, so every hour counts. Thais, on the other hand, are more chill, just live here and try to make it through another day.
As for the going rate, they'll all quote 2000 baht if you ask, but most would go for 1000 or 1200 if you offer. Max I paid was 1500. There seems to be an agreement among the girls to quote 2000, more than one Viet would go with me for 1000, but specifically asked me not to tell other girls she did.
(sorry for posting on Pattaya section, this is in Bangkok. But this is where you asked).
As an aside, are there any Viets in Pattaya?
