I sense I have insulted you with my comment and that was not my intention. Yes foreign countries are not shit holes, but I was picturing in my mind the child being brought up by poor single mother who could not adequately provide for them, especially once their prime earning years were over. If one does the right thing and takes respectability for supporting their children and provides both financial and parental support, I have no issue with it. Since I do not intend to do that, getting cut was for me the ethical way to go.

In countries like Colombia, WGs are monitored by health agencies, test regularly for everything, and have to attend classes where they are instructed on how to prevent STIs. If you come here to Colombia, worry much more about some girl you meet in a bar than a WG.

In most of the world WGs have a lower STI prevalency rate than the general population, and Colombia is no exception.

I'm planning to visit Colombia for 2 weeks in April. I've read up on the scene there somewhat and I found that using Tagged is a good thing.

The thing is, I'm not sure how to approach the girls on it. Should I be forward and offer money straight away or should I try and nurture the relation with them and ask for sex much much later on? I do speak Spanish so that's not a problem.

Also, I've read that there are a number of scammer on Tagged. Would the tactic of eliminating girls with a single photo on their profile be good enough?

I am not being derogatory but being honest. If you do not know how to approach girls on a website, then the girls are going to eat you alive when you meet them in person. I would suggest you select another location other than South America. I know this is not what you want to hear, but I am speaking to you in reality.

Why not wait until you are there and go to a known hooker spot or search for one on the myriad of hooker websites that exist? That is akin to driving around residential neighborhoods searching for cars that are up for sale when you could just go to a used car lot or ebay or autotrader and find what you are looking for in 3 minutes.

Man, by all means come to beautiful Colombia and do your best here. See how far your Spanish gets you with all the non-pros while going to the pros to cure any blue balls. Don't offer money to a non pro hoping it'll make her horny. Tell her what you want, like taking her to your hotel room, and leave it to her to say what she wants. If she's a prepago she'll tell you her fee. If she's looking for true love she'll likely need time to get comfortable with you which is difficult in one short trip.

No you didn't insult me, my skin is pretty thick as is my waistline. LOL. But not that I live in the countries I visit but I do visit frequently. I just never consider them shit holes. I have been in some rough places but most all the people I meet love there country and don't think of it as a shithole. Also I try to meet girls while not perfect are still very kool and especially Colombia dress to impress. I have met and stayed in touch with a few girls and enjoy there company.

I am totally looking forward to my trip next week. I love partying and meeting girls! But I also just enjoy getting away from all the work and bullshit I have to deal with in my normal daily life. My little 5-10 day excursions give me the break I need.

But most of the non-pros that I have been with know that I come to their countries often. If they know it is your first time visiting or your visit is a one off thing then I do not know what type of results you can expect.

And also free dating apps like Tinder as long as you are already in the area.

My technique is just start adding as many "Meet Me" and "Yes" swipes as possible. With Tag and Tinder it is all about the quantity to start. I have seen girls accounts and they get hundreds of requests a day. So it is easy for them to choose. The initial entry into a girls online account is the hardest, so you really need to start with some good pictures and a good bio write up.

Once you made a connection, then of course you add them as friends, but be careful with Facebook because they will flag your account. Tagged and Tinder don't seem to limit the amount of people you add as friends or messages sent.

Once they added you as a friend, you can start adding their friends who you think are hot. So in reality you don't have to set your target on the initial girl. Once a girl can see who you are friends with and share an mutual friend, they will be more likely to add you as a friend. Then you can start sending them a copy and paste message that you will be visiting on such and such dates. Again Facebook doesn't like spam and will flag your account if you go too crazy with the copy and paste messages. Facebook is more about patience. Tagged and Tinder is a free for all, but I personally get less results than I do with Facebook.

Most of time you can pick out the pros from the pictures. You will see them in fancy hotels and resorts that the normal girl will never be able to afford. Sometimes they mix in their normal every day house and family where you can see they come from poor area, but a lot of girls have multiple accounts.

The normal girls who are non pros won't have pictures by themselves in a fancy hotel. If they do have their own money and are in nice hotels, most likely their friends an family will also be in the pictures. You can try wasting time with those girls, but it will still cost you money and time. If you are a short vacation it may not be worth the effort, but if you are willing to put in the time, it may work out nice in the end. If they find out you are with prostitutes, most likely they won't want to mess with you and look as you as a playboy.

In the end it will always come down to how much time and money you want to spend. I consider my homework part of the trip. So I don't mind spending the time adding girls to my social network.

So was planning a trip to Colombia near the end of March since flights are cheap. Just found out that it's Holy Week during this time and stuff might be closed and people off with their families. Was wondering if it's worth taking a trip during this time or should I just find another place to visit?

FWIW, I have spent Holy Week in Medellin and it wasn't that bad outside of Thursday and (Good) Friday. I would say that through Wednesday the activity was about 80% of normal. Thursday and Friday things shut down and the only action was if you made plans with a girl you already knew. Then Saturday, things picked up again.

There are several recent posts in the Medellin reports section addressing this issue.

IMO if it's the only time you can go, I wouldn't be dissuaded.
