MDE 5/28-06/02 Almost Dry But Still Fun
My friend and I just got back on Sunday from a very fulfilling ten day vacation to Medellin, CO and Arenal, CR. We arrived on Friday only to find out about the Presidential elections and "ley seca". There was a brief moment of panic as we considered a weekend of being sober. Fortunately we were staying in Casa Blanca I which would become party central during "ley seca" I'd like to thank all the gents who welcomed us with open arms and open bottles.
Unfortunately I can't add much knowledge to the community because I ended up "wifeing" up with Angy during my 5 nights in Medellin. Sweet girl. Hope to see her again December/January. I never did get to see Mangos this trip so it's tops on my list for the next one.
Casa Blanca was everything I expected. A fun, comfortable, convenient place to stay if you just don't feel up to adventuring. I know a lot of people don't like to be hand fed but, hell sometimes on vacation I'm lazy and don't really want to search for the diamond in the rough.
For those travelling from Medellin to Costa Rica, you are required to get a yellow fever vaccination 10 days before you arrive in CR. Thanks Greg for showing us where we could get the shots.
Quick question. Anyone ever book a flight from MDE to CTG (Cartegena) on Avianca? If you go to their website, it is cheaper by about $80 to book it "in Colombia". Do they check the IP address? Anyone ever do this from the States? Alternatively I could get someone in CO to book it for me I suppose.
I am attaching some unidentifiable photos because I don't have permission to post shots of these ladies. Some of you vets can have a good time identifying the bodies.
